SIDETRACK
SO SWEET: Country music star Miranda Lambert kicked off her new Roadside Bars & Pink
Guitars tour right here in New England. The “It All Comes Out in the Wash” singer started her most recent stretch of nationwide shows strong, playing back-to-back concerts with special guests Elle King, the
Pistol Annies and Caylee Hammack at the Mohegan Sun Arena this past weekend. To mark the occasion — and probably provide some necessary sugary fuel for all of those future performances ahead of Lambert — the musician cut into a
custom cake and platter of accompanying cupcakes, all decorated to commemorate her tour by the Connecticut casino’s bakery.
ARE YOU KEATON ME: Diane
Keaton has been bouncing around Boston over the past couple of days. After being spotted out and about in Back Bay, the Rom-Com queen was seen stopping into the
SoWa Vintage Market in the South End this past Sunday. It seems that Keaton is staying in town to work on at least one of her latest projects, “Love, Weddings & Other Disasters,” a Dennis Dugan comedy supposedly slated to start shooting here in the Hub this week. The movie will follow a number of characters whose
purpose in life is to create perfect weddings for couples in love — all while their own relationships are pure and utter chaos. In the film, Keaton will share the screen with Jeremy Irons, as well as
Diego Boneta, JinJoo Lee, Jesse
McCartney and Veronica Ferres.
It’s also possible Keaton is here to work on another upcoming movie, Netflix’s “Green Eggs and Ham.” It’s unclear as to where production for the animated Dr.
Seuss adaptation is taking place. However, comedian KeeganMichael Key, who will be lending his voice to the children’s flick, has also recently been sighted in our city, including sitting down to dinner at Legal Sea Foods in
Copley Place on Monday night.
