‘Suite’ time on the town

Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick grab dinner with Slattery, Balsam at The Palm

-

Let Sarah Jessica Parker eat cake. It seems that the actress, who’s been in town for her pre-Broadway run at the Emerson Colonial Theatre, sat down to a star-studded dinner and dessert at The Palm Boston on Sunday night.

“An evening post show with friends who traveled north up the Eastern Seaboard to be our audience” at “Plaza Suite,” Parker wrote on Instagram alongside a picture of a piece of decadent chocolate cake beside a glass of red wine. “This cake is perfectly symbolic of all the celebrations, markings of openings, birthdays, milestones both bittersweet and joyful.”

“A bounty of memories courtesy of our dear, one in a million (Bruce Bozzi) who always offered unparalleled hospitality and cheer,” her post continued, in acknowledgement of the chain being put up for sale last month. “(Bruce Bozzi) you and your family’s decades of dedication to your customers will always be among my most favorite and cherished memories. Onward and with gratitude, Your Smokey.”

SJP wasn’t the only famous face to be taking part in this weekend’s dinner.

The Palm Boston shared its own picture of the star posed alongside the rest of her dinner companions, including husband and current on-stage co-star Matthew Broderick, as well as fellow celeb power couple John Slattery and Talia Balsam, who seem to have taken a train up to the Hub and also hit up spots like the Brattle Book Shop in Downtown Crossing and the Boston Common.

Parker of course has an HBO history with both Slattery and Balsam. Bostonborn Slattery acted opposite her in “Sex and the City,” playing Carrie Bradshaw’s politico love interest Bill Kelley. Meanwhile, Balsam assumed the role of Dallas, close pal to Parker’s lead character of Frances, in the show “Divorce.”
