Wrap yourself in a chance to benefit Dress for Success

With spring nipping at our heels, it’s time to swap those bulky sweaters for a snazzy new cardigan from Talbots — after all, the pieces in store and online benefit Dress for Success, a terrific nonprofit that uplifts women.

“Talbots is thrilled to launch ‘Cardis for a Cause,’ a collection of five limited-edition cardigans benefiting Dress for Success, a global nonprofit that empowers women. To date, this fiveyear collaboration with O, the Oprah magazine has raised over $6 million and has helped over 125,000 women across America live their best lives. We are so grateful for our devoted customers who shop, donate clothing and money and always show their loyal support. Together we are all making an impact! We hope everyone loves the spring cardigans, which support our mission of women helping women,” said Deborah Cavanagh, CMO and senior vice president of marketing.

The nonprofit helps women like Nadia from East Boston, who has reaped the benefits from Dress for Success services. “The thing is, it’s not just the one-time engagement. It’s the continued support, dedication, assistance and opportunity to grow in your life that Dress For Success provides to different women,” Nadia told the Herald. “I don’t know of any other organization that is so transformative in the lives of women. I haven’t heard of anybody who went through Dress for Success and did not experience a leap in their life after.”

Kate line is another Dress for Success recipient from Boston. “As a member of the Professional Women’s Group, I have had opportunities to learn from other women in diverse occupational fields. From these interactions, I have grown personally and professionally,” Kate line said in a statement.

“For example, the workshops enabled me to envision opening my domestic violence shelter, continue my education, and give back to my community. I am grateful to be part of Dress for Success/PWG because it gives me the strength to overcome daily struggles by providing me learning tools to a better future.”

It’s no wonder I smiled and danced my way through the modeling shoot this year. I’m thrilled to support a worthy cause that’s helping so many women realize their potential.
