Fun-loving Aylin enjoys art, crafts
Aylin, 11, is a girl of Hispanic descent with a great sense of humor and who loves to draw. Those that meet Aylin immediately note her big smile. Aylin enjoys working on crafts projects, playing outside, riding a bike and watching television. Aylin likes school but at times needs support with forming friendships. She receives extra supports in class for social and emotional needs.
Legally freed for adoption, Aylin very much looks forward to becoming part of a loving family. Her social worker feels she will do best in a family with two mothers, a mother and a father or a single mother. It is recommended that Aylin either be the only child in the home or the youngest child. A family for Aylin must support her relationship with her younger sister, as well as help her visit with her biological mother twice a year, as specified in an Open Adoption Agreement.
Who can adopt?
Can you provide the guidance, love and stability that a child needs? If you’re at least 18 years old, have a stable source of income and room in your heart, you may be a perfect match to adopt a waiting child. Adoptive parents can be single, married or partnered; experienced or not; renters or homeowners; LGBTQ singles and couples.
The process to adopt a child from foster care requires training, interviews and home visits to determine if adoption is right for you, and if so, to help connect you with a child or sibling group that your family will be a good match for.
To learn more about adoption from foster care, call the Massachusetts Adoption Resource Exchange at 617964-6273 or go to mareinc.org. The sooner you call, the sooner a waiting child will have “a permanent place to call home.”
