Stuck at home? Look to the stars!

-

The coronavirus has people across the nation going into full cocoon mode, and we’re looking to the stars for inspiration in these socially distant times.

A number of noteworthy names have been sharing just how they’ve been keeping boredom at bay during this pandemic panic, and we’re going to say you should feel free to steal any of these activities:

•The NBA may have pressed pause on the basketball season, but Gordon Hayward appears to be using this downtime to keep up the hard work at home. The Celtics forward has not only been staying in shape, but has even managed to bring his family into the fitness fun. Gordon’s wife, Robyn, shared a series of Instagram stories that showed her sporty hubby sprinting down the driveway before teaming up with his daughters to do reps of back lunges and shoot hoops. Robyn herself was on the sidelines snacking on Airheads, which is honestly more our quarantine speed.

•Boston-raised singer Joey McIntyre and his kids seem to be hangin’ tough as they join in the widespread seclusion. The New Kids on the Block band member took to social media to give fans a snapshot of his household, marveling at how his whole family has been quietly lounging around the living room and reading. While McIntyre jokingly wondered how long the peaceful page-turning would last, it also looked like he was in no rush to put down Tara Westover’s new title, “Educated: A Memoir”.

•Elizabeth Banks has also offered a glimpse into her life of family isolation. Per the Pittsfield native’s Instagram posts, she’s apparently been savoring the hygge side of hermit life, which has included a “Hot shower, cozy PJs, a hair mask, tequila and this mantra: Keep Calm.” In addition to curling up on the couch with a refreshing Paloma, Banks and her fam have been playing card game classics like UNO and walking their dog, who’s so delighted to have his humans at home that he’s dressed to impress with a bowtie.

•Olympic gold medalist Aly Raisman is getting after that self-care as the world lays low. The Needhamraised gymnast listed off a whole slew of soul-nourishing activities for her to keep busy, and all of her todos appear to be grounded in wellness. “I’m trying to become a better cook, doing yoga, meditations, reading, writing in my journal, watching the sunset, calling/checking in on family & friends,” Raisman wrote, later adding, “Also working out, going outside for walks, also can’t wait to start gardening soon.”

•Not everyone can sit back and relax during this introverted state. Foxboro’s own JoJo just revealed that at least part of her tour is amongst the latest coronavirus crowd-control casualties. The singer, who’s slated to release her new album “Good to Know” on May 1, shared that so far, one of her upcoming shows will be postponed — with potentially more concert delays to come. She wrote: “As you know, the current COVID-19 situation is disrupting all plans, including hours — and including touring. The San Francisco promoter emailed ticket holders to let them know the ban that was initially put in place for all events in SF through March has now been extended into April. So our SF date is going to be postponed. We plan to move forward cautiously because everyone’s health is of the most importance, and promise to keep you posted in the event other dates have to move.” Her string of domestic and international shows was expected to kick off on April 21.
