In praise of Trump

-

Regarding Daniel Warner’s statement (“Wondering, waiting for COVID-19 test results,” April 5) that “this president’s principle interest is money:

The president has donated his entire salary to various non-profit organizations or groups since his first month in office. The president has worked tirelessly to protect American citizens from the onslaught of illegal immigrants.

Warner must be a relative of Rip Van Winkle, whom upon waking up, has no idea of the good that this president has done for our country. It is not about “money.” It is about providing a better life for hard-working legal Americans; about demanding that other countries step up and fulfill their agreement to help fund NATO; about rejecting and redoing various trade agreements that saw millions of jobs leave our country — “those jobs aren’t coming back,” Barack Obama said.

Result of this president’s efforts? Those jobs are continuing to come back in ever-increasing numbers.

Additionally, creating an equitable corporate tax structure has allowed businesses that moved production and entire operations out of the U.S. to move back and remain competitive in the world.

There are some anti-Trump RINOS, added to the now Liberal Socialist Democrats, who don’t want these “successes” to continue. Why? Because it will create, among other things, competition for good workers. Competition causes wages to increase.

Remember that on Nov. 3.
