GETTING MASSACHUSETTS BACK TO WORK
Gov. Charlie Baker unveiled a four-phased rolling reopening game plan for Massachusetts Monday, with the first phase beginning immediately. Residents are urged to still wear masks, socially distance and limit groups to under 10. Here’s the basics:
PHASE 1 ‘START’ NOW
■ Places of worship can open at 40% max capacity, but outdoor services “encouraged”
■ Manufacturing & construction can resume operations with restrictions
■ Essential workers won’t see any changes
■ Some high-priority preventative care allowed
■ Safer at home advisory allows more movement
PHASE 1 (Part II) MAY 25
■ Hair salons & barber shops, appointment only
■ Pot shops, with curbside pickup
■ Retail stores — clothing, toys, jewelry, nurseries and garden centers — with curbside pickup or delivery □ Beaches, parks, drive-in theaters
■ Hunting, boating, outdoor gardens & zoos
■ Auto dealers and wholesalers (curbside & delivery only)
■ Pet grooming
■ Car washes
■ Office space, 25% max capacity □ Libraries, with curbside pickup
JUNE 1
■ Office space in Boston, 25% max capacity
PHASE 2 ‘CAUTIOUS’ (Date to be determined)
■ Restaurants & lodging (working group convened)
■ Retail for shopping inside stores
■ Community pools □ Campgrounds
■ Youth Sports (limited)
■ Less urgent medical care
■ Day programs □ Recreational day camps
PHASE 3 ‘VIGILANT’ (Date to be determined)
■ Bars, casinos
■ Gyms, fitness studios
■ Museums □ Amusement parks
■ Movie theatres
■ All other business activities
2020-2021 SCHOOL YEAR
