Police say this driver can’t drive 55 … 65 … 75 … 85 …. or even 95 mph.

Carla Joffre Pena, 20, of Dorchester, was held overnight by State Police and arraigned Friday in Framingham District Court after crashing her car while attempting to run from police, authorities say.

An eyewitness traveling on the Mass Pike Thursday afternoon said Pena was “going more than 100 mph and weaving in and out of traffic” on the Pike eastbound in Millbury, State Police report. The Corolla she was driving, police added, had no license plates.

She drove away from police and “in Framingham, the suspect vehicle attempted to take the ramp at Exit 12 at a high speed and crashed and rolled over,” State Police reported.

Police added: “The female operator, the lone occupant of the vehicle, exited the car under her own power and became combative with Troopers. Troopers took her into custody. The suspect complained of pain and was taken by medical helicopter to UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester.”

She was released from the hospital and faces multiple charges, including refusal to stop for police, operating to endanger, a plate violation and speeding.

But, police added, this wasn’t her first encounter with State Police.

Pena was arrested on Sunday, Oct. 11, police said, after a trooper “observed her driving on the Massachusetts Turnpike in Ludlow with a stolen plate attached to the Corolla. When stopped by the Trooper, Pena also was found to be unlicensed and the car was not registered, not insured, and had no inspection sticker.

“She was arrested for those offenses after that stop on Sunday and arraigned in Palmer District Court,” police said.

She somehow arranged to get the car back. She was released without bail following her arraignment Friday.
