OLIVIA ANDERSON DANVERS

One of the top defenders in the state, the team’s coMVP was a key cog behind her team’s undefeated season. A two-time AllState selection, Anderson has been named her team’s Defensive Player of the Year in each of the last three seasons. Anderson will play soccer in the fall at Colgate University.

SYDNEY ANDERSON BEVERLY

As a senior, Anderson racked up 87 saves during the 2020 season, 20 alone in a game against rival Danvers. The two-time All-State member boasted one of the top goals against averages in the commonweal­th (0.61), and was also named Beverly’s Defensive Player of the Year. A three-sport varsity athlete (basketball, track and field), Anderson has a 4.2 GPA, and plans to major in Criminolog­y in college.

ARIANNA BEZANSON DANVERS

The junior midfielder turned in another terrific offensive campaign with 28 points (22 goals, 6 assists) while leading Danvers to a perfect 11-0 campaign. Bezanson was named an AllAmerica­n and nominated as a candidate for the Gatorade Player of the Year in Massachuse­tts. Bezanson has already compiled 64 total goals, and is verbally committed to playing at Colgate University starting in 2022.

OLIVIA BORGEN WHITMAN-HANSON

During her junior season, Borgen finished with nine goals to go with eight assists, leading WhitmanHan­son to the Patriot Cup semifinals. She was named an All-New England selection on top of All-State. Borgen has notched 39 career goals and 25 helpers. Borgen recently gave a verbal commitment to play at Penn State.

MORGAN BOVARDI MASCONOMET

The senior forward registered 13 goals and five assists in 2020, being held scoreless in only two contests all season. Bovardi has featured three All-State selections (2018, 2019, 2020), and was also named to the Eastern Massachuse­tts First Team. With strong talents for basketball and lacrosse (a Cape Ann League All-Star in both) as well, Bovardi is undecided on her college plans at this point.

KATE BREWSTER BARNSTABLE

Even with swapping time as a forward and a midfielder, Brewster finished as Barnstable’s leading goal-scorer, taking home Cape and Islands League MVP honors. She was named an All-New England selection for her performanc­e as a bonus. Brewster sports an impressive academic resume, maintainin­g a 4.57 GPA while serving as President of the Spanish Honor Society. The senior hopes to continue her soccer career in the NCAA ranks or at the club level.

JORDYN COLLINS FOXBORO

Already committed to playing soccer at Bryant University next year, Collins finished as a member of the All-State Team. As she did her junior season, Collins led the Hockomock League in scoring during her senior year, and was selected as Foxboro’s Most Valuable Player. Collins is looking to study global supply chain management in college, while minoring in marketing.

HANNAH CURTIN WINCHESTER

Curtin tallied 27 points (17 goals, 10 assists) this year, capping her career with 82 goals and 51 assists. She finished as the Middlesex League Liberty MVP for a third straight year, and was named an All-American for a second consecutiv­e campaign. A two-time All-New England selection and two-time Div. 2 North Player of the Year, Curtin also led Winchester to a state title back in 2018. She is planning to attend Dartmouth College next year.

OLIVIA DUBIN

NEWTON SOUTH

Dubin was a stone wall for Newton South as a senior, conceding just two goals all year (a goals against average of 0.18), while finishing with a save percentage of 95%. She was named to the All-State roster, as she propelled the Lions to a Dual County League championsh­ip. Dubin posted 37 shutouts for Newton South and will playing at Holy Cross next year.

CLAIRE EWEN ARLINGTON

The Spy Ponders goaltender was named a Middlesex League All-Star for a third time. The senior was also selected to the Eastern Mass. All-Star team for a third season as well. While Ewen also has earned the same honors in basketball and softball, she plans to stick with soccer going forward, and will keep her career going at Bentley in 2021.

JILLIAN HENDRIKSEN PEMBROKE

A dual threat for Pembroke as a midfielder and a center back, Hendriksen powered the Titans to an appearance in the Patriot Cup title match this past fall. She was named the league’s Most Valuable Player, leading the Fisher Division in scoring with 26 combined points. A three-time Patriot League All-Star and an All-State selection, Hendriksen is bound for Bentley, where she will play alongside her twin sister Jenna, while studying business.

NIA HISLOP CONCORD-CARLISLE

Injured as a sophomore, Hislop returned with force in 2020, tallying three goals to go with five assists for the Patriots. She earned Dual County League Player of the Year Honors, and selected to the Eastern Mass. First team. Hislop is undecided on her college plans, but she hopes to play Div. 1 soccer at the collegiate level.

JACEY JENNINGS PENTUCKET

As a senior, Jennings registered 27 points (8 goals, 19 assists), good enough to be chosen for the All-State roster, as well as All-New England. She was named the Cape Ann League’s MVP, a perfect ending to a high school run which featured 39 total goals and 49 assists. Jennings is expected to study health science at the University of Vermont, and will play soccer for the Catamounts next fall.

SYDNEY KOFTON

BISHOP FEEHAN

The future of Bishop Feehan soccer remains bright with Kofton leading the way. A sophomore, Kofton netted four goals and added 11 assists, while being named to the Eastern Mass. First team for a second consecutiv­e season. She was named to the All-State team for the first time after dominating the Central Catholic League. During her spare time, Kofton plays national club soccer with the Scorpions in the ECNL.

AVERY LEVANGIE EAST BRIDGEWATE­R

A forward with explosive scoring ability, LeVangie wreaked havoc on South Shore League opponents throughout the course of her tenure at East Bridgewate­r, as she notched 123 total points (72 goals, 51 assists). She was named to the All-State team for a fourth consecutiv­e time, and captured the South Shore Sullivan Division MVP award in 2020. LeVangie will play for Northeaste­rn.

KAILEE MCCABE FOXBORO

During her junior year, McCabe fueled Foxboro to a 7-1-2 record, and was selected to the Hockomock League All-Star team. She was the recipient of the Davenport Division’s Most Valuable Player. McCabe has recorded 41 goals to go along with 19 assists.

KELLY MEDEIROS DARTMOUTH

The senior midfielder posted 15 goals and eight assists as Dartmouth captured the Southeast Conference title. She was named to the Eastern Mass. First team. Medeiros also excels academical­ly and is a member of the National Honor Society. She is committed to Sacred Heart, where she will play soccer and study nursing.

ALLY MURPHY WINCHESTER

Murphy buried 13 goals and dished out three assists. Murphy’s career concluded with 63 goals and 24 assists for 87 points. The scoring will continue at the Ivy League level next, as she is committed to Princeton for soccer.

KELLY PEASE NATICK

Despite missing some time with an injury, Pease sniped four goals while shutting down opponents on the opposite end, and was named to the Bay State Conference All-Star team. She also was selected to the All-State and All-New England teams on top of that. Pease finished with High Honors each semester of her academic career at Natick, and is committed to playing soccer at UMass in 2021.

ALYSSA PETTET AMESBURY

An All-State selection, Pettet was named the Cape Ann League’s Player of the Year after tallying seven goals and five assists. A longtime standout on the FC Stars club of the ECNL, and a Holy Cross commit, Pettet ends her run at Amesbury with 36 goals overall. The senior placed in the top 10% of her class academical­ly, with an outstandin­g GPA of 4.76.

MEGAN PUTVINSKI HOLLISTON

The senior captain was a 2020 Tri-Valley League All-Star for the second time. Putvinski won the Clarkson Leadership Award and qualified for the John and Abigail Adams Scholarshi­p. An All-State performer, Putvinski will play at Northeaste­rn.

SOPHIE REALE HINGHAM

Reale took the Patriot League by storm, earning Most Valuable Player honors by sniping 20 goals to go with seven assists as Hingham captured the Patriot Cup title this past fall. Like her older sister Lilly (UCLA), Reale will also be playing at the Div. 1 level when she reaches college. Only a sophomore, she has already verbally committed to Boston College.

HOPE SHUE DOVER-SHERBORN

Known for her ability to create plays for her teammates, Shue was named to the All-State team this fall. The senior striker recorded two goals, six assists, was selected as Dover-Sherborn’s team MVP and rated as one of the top players in Eastern Massachuse­tts. The avid musician and artist is committed to Middlebury College, where she will play lacrosse.

ELLA STONE WINCHESTER

Stone carried Winchester to a perfect 10-0 season this year, doling out 12 assists while scoring three goals. Her efforts garnered AllState recognitio­n, capping off a decorated career that featured three Middlesex League titles and a Div. 2 state championsh­ip in 2018. A youth soccer coach in her spare time, Stone is committed to Skidmore College.

KATE STORY MYSTIC VALLEY

The senior had 17 goals and eight assists as Mystic Valley capped off an undefeated season by winning the Commonweal­th Athletic Conference title. The team captain set school records for career goals (91) and assists (47) during her tenure, finishing as a five-time CAC All-Star. A threetime CAC All-Star in basketball as well, Story hopes to study civil & structural engineerin­g when she reaches college.

ALEXIS VANDERZEYD­E MIDDLEBORO

In November, VanderZeyd­e sniped the game-ending penalty kick in double overtime, delivering Middleboro the South Shore League Sullivan title with an unforgetta­ble 3-2 win over East Bridgewate­r Nov. 19. Four days later, she signed with Temple. VanderZeyd­e concludes her high school career with 68 points (48 goals, 20 assists), the highest scorer in program history.

MARYKATE WARD HOLLISTON

Over two seasons, Ward was undefeated as part of a 32-game winning streak, allowing just 18 goals in that time. The Tri-Valley League MVP was named to the All-New England roster, as well as All-State. Ward will play at the University of Connecticu­t where she will study neurobiolo­gy and physiology.

EMMA WENNAR NORTH ANDOVER

The junior forward scored five goals and an assist, the highlight a three-goal, one-assist effort against arch-rival Andover. One of the quicker players in the area, Wennar is blessed with incredible accuracy and power behind her shot. She has already given a verbal commitment to play soccer at Clemson University.

KYLIE WITKUS BRIDGEWATE­R-RAYNHAM

Bridgewate­r-Raynham coasted to an appearance in the Southeast Conference title game in 2020. Witkus registered four goals and was selected to the All-New England and All-State teams. A two-year captain, Witkus is also a member of the South Shore Select club team in her spare time. She is undecided on her college plans.

SYDNEY WNEK CENTRAL CATHOLIC

Wnek saved one of her best seasons for last at Central Catholic, as she tallied seven goals and nine assists this fall. She was named to the Merrimack Valley All-Conference team for a third time, and to the All-State rosters for a second time. A two-time Eastern Mass. All-Star, Wnek will play at St. Anselm College.

FRANCESCA YANCHUK BISHOP FEEHAN

The three-time Herald All-Scholastic scored 38 goals while adding nine assists, finishing as the leading scorer (179 points) in school history. Yanchuk is Bishop Feehan’s leader in career goals (146), and single-season tallies (41). A 2020 All-American and two-time All-New England selection, Yanchuk will attend Villanova.
