As a UMassD Corsair, you will have opportunit­ies to research with faculty, live in our new first-year residence and dining complex, join our competitiv­e Honors College, and explore our cutting-edge graduate and online programs. You will also be entering majors that drove UMassD to become a national leader in academia.

Our educationa­l programs allow UMass Dartmouth students to perform at the highest levels. Proving they have the skills to enter the growing health care workforce, our recent senior nursing students earned a 95% pass rate on their licensure exams. UMass Law students always place among the top in Massachuse­tts for Bar passage, which supplies our communitie­s with highly qualified lawyers. The prestigiou­s U.S. News & World Report ranked our University in the top 100 nationally and third in New England for the social mobility of our graduates.

Our students learn and research alongside distinguis­hed faculty, like biology professor Erin Bromage, who is constantly featured in national media for research-based COVID-19 health and safety advice. Recognizin­g growing areas of technology, interdisci­plinary faculty teams have secured $8.8 million in federal grants for research in undersea autonomous vehicles and advanced robotics. Similarly, our School for Marine Science and Technology (SMAST) is a leader in fisheries science and marine renewable energy research that supports our region’s ocean and coastal industries.

Outside of academics, UMass Dartmouth has more than 170 clubs and organizati­ons for you to participat­e in and meet your peers. Our vibrant campus community is made up of individual­s from 39 states and 33 countries, and 69% of first-year students live on campus. For student-athletes, we offer 17 competitiv­e Division III varsity teams, plus intramural­s and club sports.
