Grace Curley: Biden’s nonsensical immigration plan

Illegal immigrants get a virus pass

- Grace CURLEY

If you’re looking for a prime example of the Biden administration’s hypocrisy and ineptitude look no further than the crisis — I mean “challenge” — at our southern border.

After attacking President Trump for putting “kids in cages,” the Biden administration needed to make a drastic change — so they switched out the Obamabuilt cages and opted for shipping containers.

Naturally, the press helped them with this awkward semantics transition. They now refer to detention centers as “migrant overflow facilities.”

But even the mainstream media can’t distract from the current administration’s problem at the border.

On Friday, Fox News’ Kristen Fisher asked White House press secretary Jen Psaki, “So, I guess, is the plan then to take in and safely and humanely find a home for an unlimited number of unaccompanied children?”

Psaki’s response involved few facts but plenty of feelings.

“I think this issue requires us taking a step back, as human beings and as mothers, of which I am one; I know that there are many in the room, or many at home. These kids are coming. They are fleeing prosecution.”

Aside from the fact that she presumably meant “persecution” and not “prosecution,” the real issue is that Psaki’s being a mother has nothing to do with the reporter’s question.

But dodging questions has become a staple of the Biden administration. The liberals never needed Joe to have a plan or a vision — they just needed him to not be Trump.

Eddie Scarry from the Washington Examiner in a recent piece titled “Biden’s ’empathy’ is the media’s excuse for everything” wrote, “And that’s why they love President Biden so much. Biden has empathy. Biden cares. Biden cries.”

So if it the caring routine works for the boss, why not for his underlings?

Jen Psaki has no clue what the administration is going to do with the projected 117,000 unaccompanied minors, but she is a mother and a human being, so what more do you need to know?

Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, recently said, “We are not apprehending a 9-year-old child, who has come alone, who has traversed Mexico, whose parents … whose loving parents sent that child alone. We’re not expelling that 9-year-old child to Mexico when that child’s country of origin was Guatemala, Honduras, or El Salvador.”

In 2021, parents who send their 9-year-old child alone to cross the dangerous border of another country are loving.

The parents who want their kids to go back to inperson learning are Neanderthals.

Maybe that explains why the kids in migrant facilities are allowed to enjoy in-person schools, while the Neanderthals’ children are told to stick it out on Zoom for a few more years.

There is no other way to describe Biden’s America other than “bizarro world.”

Every week, Dr. Anthony Fauci and panels of fun-sucking Karens are aggressively cautioning us about gatherings.

This has been going on for a year: Halloween festivities, Thanksgiving feasts, Christmas swaps, Super Bowl watch parties — all of these “potential super spreaders” were off-limits.

But you might notice that these experts are a lot less vocal about illegal immigrants who are testing positive for the coronavirus after entering the country.

The New York Post wrote, “More than 100 illegal immigrants who tested positive for the coronavirus — after their arrival in Texas since late January — have been released by the Border Patrol into the Lone Star State and are free to travel to other parts of the U.S.”

Where is Dr. Fauci and the contact-tracing committee?

While Joe Biden did criticize Texas, it was not because of the COVID-afflicted undocumented immigrants boarding buses to New Jersey and Maryland. Instead, Biden was upset that the governors of Texas and Mississippi lifted their lockdowns and mask mandates.

“I hope everyone’s realized by now these masks make a difference. The last thing we need is Neanderthal thinking that in the meantime everything’s fine, take off your mask — forget it. It still matters.”

Biden might be soft on illegal immigration, China and teachers unions, but damn it, he is tough on American citizens.

For Dr. Fauci, President Biden and the Twitter Hall Monitors that run our society, here’s a piece of advice: Head down to the southern border. Bring your sloping curves and your scary charts and your triple masks. Share your panic porn with some of our new arrivals and see if they heed your ever-changing advice.

As for the Americans who are starting to go out to eat with old friends or walk mask-less in the fresh spring air — don’t worry if the president calls you names.

We simply have “different cultural norms.”

Us Neanderthals love freedom.
