David G. Of Brighton passed away April 5, 2021. Beloved husband of Judith (Bellinger) Cullen. Devoted father of Karen (“The Duck”) and David, Jr. of Brighton, Brian of Watertown, Tanya Green and her husband Richard of Florida, Danny of Brighton, Joe of Dorchester, and the late Kevin Cullen. Grandfathe­r of Bryan, Jack, Christophe­r, Brooke, Elizabeth, Connor, Olivia and Francesca. Loving brother of Ann Moran of Worcester, George Cullen and his late wife Ginger of Belmont, and the late Vincent Cullen and his late wife Pat of Dedham. Former husband of the late Kathleen Cullen (Hilley). Cherished uncle of 21 nieces and nephews. Faithful companion of his cat P.D. (“Peter”).

David joined the United States Postal Service in 1958 where he was a mail carrier in Newtonvill­e for 42 years. He held the same route in the Hunnewell Hill community for 36 years until he retired in 2000. David was a member of the Coast Guard reserves from 1959 to 1967 and the Army National Guard reserves from 1976 to 1998, where he rose to the rank of Master Sargent. Through the Guard, he earned a Bachelors Degree in Business Administra­tion from Anna Maria College in 1990. David loved sports and would often coach or umpire his children’s games while still in his Post Office uniform. Visiting Hours at Lehman Reen & McNamara Funeral Home, 63 Chestnut Hill Ave.(Nr Brighton Courthouse) BRIGHTON, Sunday April 11th from 3-7pm Funeral from Funeral Home, Monday April 12th at 9:30am. Followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Columbkill­e Church, 321 Market Street, Brighton at 10:30am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Funeral Mass can be livestream­ed at www. brightonca­tholic.org and select YOUTUBE link. Interment at St. Joseph Cemetery in West Roxbury.
