I hope you don’t take this as a threat, officer

- Mike Pingree

A 74-year-old woman threatened a Hollidaysburg, Pa., police officer with “white witchery” if he didn’t drop her grandson’s felony drug charge. Otherwise, she explained, there might be “some consequences.” She also said she wasn’t threatening anyone but just “making statements,” and asked, “Is there a law against it?” It turns out that there is, and so she was arrested.

THIS APPEARS TO BE A PRIVATE CONSENSUAL MATTER: Two women broke into a man’s home in Clearwater, Fla., at 3 a.m., and pelted him with cans of glitter. They told police that they knew the guy, and once had what they called a casual “three-way type thing” with him. Law enforcement officials declined to prosecute the ladies.

WE JUST WANT TO ASK YOU A FEW QUESTIONS, MA’AM: A woman and her boyfriend vandalized and ransacked 41 parked vehicles in and around Waterbury, Conn., and she later fled the cops in a wild chase in which she crashed her Hummer into eight police cruisers, and ultimately wrapped her vehicle around a utility pole about 25 miles away. In addition to the car burglaries, there are multiple warrants pending for her arrest on other charges.

A VERY NICE MEAL; NOW FOR SOME FUN: A man broke into a diner in North Wales, Pa., at 4:30 in the morning, and stole half of a prime rib roast and a cheesecake. An hour and a half later, he tried to break into a sex emporium that features pornography and intimate sexual interactions, but a female employee screamed and he fled the scene on foot.

NO GOOD DEED GOES UNPUNISHED: After a man got his truck stuck in the sand at Horsfall Beach in Coos Bay, Ore., at one o’clock in the morning, his friend sprang into action with his own truck and tried to pull him free as the tide rushed in. Alas, the first man managed to get his truck out, while the friend, who tried to help him, did not. The water flipped the friend’s truck upside down, and somebody came along later and stole the wheels.

IT SEEMS THAT THIS FRIENDSHIP HAS RUN ITS COURSE: A 29-yearold woman became obsessed with another woman’s husband and tried to break up their marriage. She sent harassing emails and sexually explicit images to the wife and to her family and friends. The Lake Worth, Fla., couple knew the woman and last year decided that they “no longer wanted any contact with her.” They told her to stop coming to their house and calling them. She has been charged with cyberstalking and sexual cyber harassment.

WELL, WELL, WHAT HAVE WE HERE? A 17year-old made the mistake of posting a picture to Instagram of himself with drugs, guns and cash. As a result, the cops went to his home in San Antonio where they found “two handguns, a high-powered pistol, cocaine, hash oil, marijuana, and $15,000.”

YOU KNOW YOU’LL NEVER GET AWAY, SIR: A 38-year-old man stole a forklift in Harris County, Texas, and took it on a joyride before leading police on an 18-mph slow-speed chase for about 20 minutes before he surrendered.
