J., 80, of Arlington passed peacefully at home April 22. Ed is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Beverly, his daughters Kristin of Taunton, and Kerri (Mulkerin) and her husband Andrew of Billerica. Ed’s pride and joy were his grandchild­ren Shawn, Lindsey and Drew who love and miss him terribly. Ed was the ultimate “Good Guy” and a friend to everyone he met. He was generous to a fault and was always ready to offer a ride, a meal or whatever anyone needed. After leaving the Air Force he began his career at Polaroid and worked his way up the ranks into management and mentored a number of coworkers who quickly became friends.

Along with his wife, children and grandchild­ren Ed is survived by his sister Joan (Sullivan) and brother Walter; sisters in law Janice (Tirone) and Donna (Revane) and her husband Tom. He is predecease­d by his parents James and Eva (Hurd), his sisters Barbara (Boudreau) and Eleanore (Hennessy) as well as his brothers James Jr. and Richard “Mike” as well as his brother in law Ron (Tirone) and sister in law Karen (Berglund). His passing will leave a giant hole in the hearts of his nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to a visiting hours at the Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Chestnut St., Arlington, on Thursday April 28th from 4-7 pm. A memorial mass will be held at Saint Eulalia’s Church, Ridge St., Winchester on Friday April 29th at 10 am. Burial is private.
