Doomsday invasion looms

- Peter Lucas is a veteran Massachusetts political reporter and columnist.

Someone should wake up Gen. Mark Milley and tell him that the country is being invaded.

The woke chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff might want to know that the biggest invasion since World War II is about to be launched right under his nose.

Maybe he is waiting for a heads-up call from his counterpart in China.

That would be Gen. Li Zuocheng, the head of the Communist People’s Army of Liberation. He is the dude Milley secretly called during the waning days of the Trump administration to tell him that the U.S. had no plans to attack China. President Trump had no knowledge of the call.

That imagined call from Zuocheng to Milley could go something like this.

Gen. Zuocheng: “Since you did me a solid, I’m returning the favor. Our intelligence tells us that you will be invaded from the south beginning the day Brandon eliminates Title 42.”

Gen. Milley: “Invaded? By who?”

Zuocheng: “Not by us, but by millions of illegal immigrants from 200 countries. China has no need to invade America. We just sell the makings of fentanyl to the Mexican cartels. They do the rest.”

Milley: “That’s a deadly drug that is killing thousands of Americans.”

Zuocheng: “It’s payback for the opium trade that killed millions of Chinese.”

Miley: “But that was over a hundred years ago. We had nothing to do with it. It was the British who flooded China with opium, not us.”

Zuocheng: “British, Americans, all the same thing to us. Besides, the Mexican cartels tell us they use it for tequila.”

Milley: “That’s misinformation.”

Zuocheng: “No, it is correct. Our Ministry of Truth ran it by your Ministry of Truth. I am only telling you this because you did me a biggie. You must tell Brandon so he will not be caught by surprise, as he usually is.”

Milley: “It’s Biden, by the way, not Brandon.”

Zuocheng: “All the same to us.”

Some of this might be amusing if the problem of illegal immigration were not so explosive and the ramifications so serious.

The illegal invasion of the U.S. is the biggest invasion since the World War II historic D-Day storming of the beaches of Normandy on June 6, 1944.

Back then, the Allied invasion of Europe to defeat Nazi Germany, led by Gen. Dwight Eisenhower, was aimed to set the people of Europe free. This new invasion will have the people of the U.S. allowing the invaders to live free.

This new invasion will take place upon the ending of Title 42 immigration restrictions. That final restraint will fully open the floodgates, precipitating the influx of millions of illegal immigrants into a country that is not prepared to deal with them.

Unlike D-Day, this new invasion should be called “Doomsday,” because it will cast a dark doomsday cloud over a once law-abiding country.

Instead of abiding by the legal process of coming to America, you instead illegally break into the country and are not punished but are rewarded when you do so.

Millions of hard working, taxpaying, live-by-the rule Americans are watching their country slip away from them under a radical, authoritarian Democrat Party government that cares more about illegal immigrants than it does about it’s own law-abiding citizens.

On Doomsday, the first day without Title 42, some 18,000 illegal immigrants are expected to cross the border from Mexico into the United States with nobody stopping them.

That is four times the number of U.S. troops that landed on the first wave on Omaha Beach in Normandy.

That 18,000 comes to more than six million people a year crossing illegally into the U.S. Try doing that in any other country in the world.

Nobody knows who they are, where they are coming from, what they are carrying or where they are going.

And all on our dime. Good luck with that, Joe.
