SEAN (SEANO, GOAT) PATRICK O’CONNOR

Sean (Seano, Goat) Patrick O’Connor of Savin Hill, Dorchester, MA passed away on August 25, 2023, after a six-month battle with cancer. He was 53 years old. Sean was a 1988 graduate of Weymouth South High School, Weymouth, MA, and a proud, hardworkin­g member of the IUOE Local 4 in Boston since 1997. He was son to the late Francis William O’Connor and Elizabeth Ann O’Connor, and brother to the late Francis W. O’Connor, Jr. He is survived by his sister Maureen Lindholm and her husband Robert of Carver,

MA, Bridget Bowers of Victor, MT, Elizabeth Robertshaw and her husband Scott of Marshfield, MA, Colleen Alber and her husband Mark of Stevensvil­le, MT, Timothy O’Connor of Boston, and Kerry O’Connor and her husband Jon Foster of Victor, MT. Along with several nieces and nephews, and countless friends that became members of his greater family. Sean loved spending time with friends and family, his work, the ocean and riding his motorcycle. He loved a reason to laugh and celebrate life with others. He was giving, courageous and compassion­ate, and let’s be honest, hardheaded and infuriatin­g. He managed to cheat death many times over, but in the end, he will be remembered as a source of love, support, inspiratio­n, and encouragem­ent to those who knew him best. A fighter to the end. One day at a time. He will be missed. Relatives and friends are invited to greet family during visiting hours on September 4th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 146 Dorchester St., South Boston.

A funeral mass will be offered on Tuesday, September 5th at 11:00 AM at St. Brendan Church, 589 Gallivan Boulevard, Dorchester, MA 02124, and burial to follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery.

For anyone who knew Sean, please join the family in celebratin­g him at Florian Hall in Boston at 1:00 PM following the burial.
