Lynch-fueled Dover-Sherborn edges Needham, 2-1

Gavin Lynch tossed a one-run complete game, fanning 10 while allowing three hits as Dover-Sherborn (5-2) edged Needham 2-1 in nonleague baseball play.

Brady Lane needed just 80 pitches to throw a twohit complete game for BC High (7-0) in a 9-0 win over North Andover. … Matt Burt struck out 11 and allowed three hits and one earned run in a complete game, and Nate Moniz singled in two runs with the bases loaded in the seventh inning to lift Bishop Stang (2-4) to a 5-3 win over Seekonk. … Brady Gibbon’s RBI single in the fourth inning boosted Canton to a 1-0 win over Plymouth South.

Lukas Poirier recorded nine strikeouts and gave up four hits over six innings, and Will Trach had a hit and scored the winning run on a Ryan Jamieson sacrifice fly for Shawsheen (52) in a 2-1 Commonweal­th Athletic Conference victory over Lowell Catholic.

Nathan Levesque struck out eight and walked two over a complete-game shutout, and Dylan Bradley had two hits and scored three runs as Apponequet (5-0) bested Greater New Bedford 9-0 in the South Coast Conference. … Will Dionne collected 10 strikeouts and surrendere­d four hits and two walks in seven innings, while Jayden Cruz (2-for-4, RBI, run, stolen base) paced the Somerset Berkley offense in a 5-0 victory over Dighton-Rehoboth.

Connor Finn allowed just two hits over six innings, and Matt Sullivan drove in three runs as Sandwich beat Hanover 8-1 in the JL Murphy Tournament.

Softball

Kayla Shaw struck out 13 and surrendere­d only one hit as Wakefield (33) rolled to a 14-0 Middlesex League win over Watertown. … Olivia Raise (2for-4), Julia Archer (2-for-3) and Eva Boudreau (3-for-4) each notched multiple hits as Wilmington topped Burlington, 7-3.

Caroline Duran (3-for-4, double) and Sienna Kreuzer (2-for-2, RBI) each had big days at the plate for Walpole in a 4-2 nonleague win over Oliver Ames. … Kasie Bailey hit a two-run single in the first inning, and the Abington (6-0) defense played well in a 4-0 win over Whitman-Hanson. … Christina McA’Nulty batted 3-for-4 with a homer, four RBI and three runs, pairing with Sadie Steuterman (2-for-4, triple, two runs) to power Milton (5-0) to an 11-0 win over

North Attleboro in five innings. MK Maloney and Zahria Daley combined for a three-hit shutout.

Kathleen Simmons went 3-for-4 with the winning RBI and errorless defense at second base, while Maddie Connelly finished 3-for-3 with an RBI, fueling a 6-4 Arlington Catholic win over Concord-Carlisle. … Delaney Moquin fanned 14 and helped her own cause with two RBI, while Maddy Bryan and Addison Willett had two hits apiece as Silver Lake bested Bishop Feehan, 7-2. … Zoe Adams (5-for-5), Caroline Ozmun (3-for-4) and Ashley Callery (3-for3, five RBI) paced Hopkinton offensivel­y in a 13-8 win over Milford.

Jill Ondrick collected 15 strikeouts on the mound and hit a solo home run at the plate, while Ciara McMenamin, Candace Sumner, Monica Kelley and Regan Parr finished with two hits each as Archbishop Williams (6-0) defeated Bishop Stang 3-1 in the Catholic Central League.

Boys lacrosse

Will Levrault (four goals, three assists), Kenny Wisniewksi (four goals, assist),

Jake Cusson (three goals, four assists) and Kevin O’Connor (three goals, assist, 10 faceoff wins) displayed strong offensive performanc­es for Apponequet (3-0) in an 18-7 South Coast Conference win over Bourne.

In nonleague action, Luke Faletra netted the winner in double overtime to give Central Catholic a 5-4 win over Londonderr­y, N.H.

Girls lacrosse

Sophomore Skyla Stott scored with 2:28 left, lifting Dighton-Rehoboth (31) to its first program win over Fairhaven, 10-9, in South Coast Conference play. … Cece Levrault netted five goals, powering Apponequet (3-1) during a 15-4 win over Bourne.

Coral Punch erupted for six goals and Julia Kipperman added four goals as Nauset rolled to a 17-6 nonleague win over New Bedford. … Charlize Collins netted five goals and Jill Gillis had a hat trick for Burlington as part of a 13-8 win over Boston Latin. … Kierstyn Zinter, Abby Yfantopulo­us (assist), Liv Rondeau and Kerri Finneran all recorded hat tricks as wellrounde­d Central Catholic beat Pentucket 18-3. … Megan Doyle notched seven points and 16 draw controls, while Kendall Rogers tallied six points and Mira Flaherty scored her 100th career goal as Weymouth topped Leominster, 20-7.

Quinn Anderson scored five goals and dished an assist, while Avery Cobban, Kolbi Darmon and Abby Kinney had two goals each as Sandwich (7-0) defeated Scituate 13-6 in the Patriot Cup.

Volleyball

Tim Langille and Timmy Kearney combined for 10 kills and nine blocks, aiding Kieran Fagan’s 12 kills and four aces to lead Lincoln-Sudbury (4-1) over nonleague foe O’Bryant, 3-0. … Larry Claudio supplied 48 assists, mainly finding Ruben Rodriguez (19 kills), Lucas Jiminez (14 kills) and Kawan Dias (13 kills) as Revere edged Latin Academy, 3-2.

Francis McGonagle had 15 kills with 12 digs, Suraj Marla dished 31 assists and Eric Barcelos posted nine kills with four blocks for St. John’s (Shrewsbury) (35), powering a 3-0 sweep over Cambridge in the ALS One Invitation­al consolatio­n match.

Jonathan Ly and Viet Tran each touched down 10 kills for Lynn Classical (6-1) to beat Medford 3-0 in Greater Boston League play.
