Irving denies antisemitism

-

Brooklyn Nets star Kyrie Irving responded to accusations of antisemitism after the team and its owner, Joe

Tsai, condemned his recent social media post linking to a book and movie that have been described as antisemitic. “I am an OMNIST and I meant no disrespect to anyone’s religious beliefs,” Irving wrote on Twitter. “The

‘antisemitic’ label that is being pushed on me is not justified and does not reflect the reality or truth I live in everyday. I embrace and want to learn from all walks of life and religions.” . . . A female former San Antonio Spurs employee has alleged that now-former Spurs guard Josh Primo exposed himself in her presence, a person with knowledge of the matter told the Associated Press. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because no details had been revealed publicly by the Spurs, Primo, or the accuser. Attorney Tony Buzbee confirmed to the AP that he has been hired by “a former contractor” with the Spurs. He is the attorney who represented 24 women who sued Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson, accusing him of sexual assault or harassment. The 19-year-old Primo was released by the Spurs on Friday, sources told ESPN, after “multiple alleged instances of him exposing himself to women.” . . . Phoenix Suns center Deandre Ayton will miss at least one week after suffering a sprained left ankle in the first quarter of Friday’s win over the New Orleans Pelicans . . . Kawhi Leonard will miss his third straight game Sunday. The Clippers ruled Leonard out because of right knee injury management.
