Age 93, of Norwood, passed away peacefully January 11, 2023. She was in her own home until the end, lovingly cared for by her faithful daughter,

Kathy for many years. As she passed from this life into Jesus’ arms, she was surrounded by her children. Jeannine was born on July 22, 1929 in Van Buren, Maine, the 10th of 14 children to Belonie and Marie (Desrosiers) Chassé. She was always known for her love of singing and playing the piano for the glory of God. After high school she attended St. Joseph Nursing School in Lawrence, MA, earned her RN diploma, and ended up at Boston City Hospital, where she met the love of her life, her husband of 41 years, Dr. Charles Lynch, Jr. Together they lived in many countries and states as an Army family. Ultimately they returned to reside in Norwood. Jeannine relished playing the piano, singing, and writing praise music for her church prayer group, studying the Bible with friends, and spending time with her children, grandchild­ren, and greatgrand­children.

Jeannine is survived by her loving children, Michael and Katie Lynch (Pepperell, MA), Peter Lynch

(St. Thomas, VI), Kathleen Lynch (Norwood), and Elizabeth Taillon (Towson, MD). She is also survived by her brother, Emilio Chassé (Liverpool, NY), and her sister, Susan L. Chassé (Van Buren, ME), as well as many beloved nieces and nephews. In addition, she loved being with her 11 grandchild­ren and 15 greatgrand­children.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Visitation at Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole Street, NORWOOD, on Monday, January 16, 2023, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, January 17, 2023, 10:00am, at St. Timothy Catholic Church, Norwood, with interment to follow at Highland Cemetery, Norwood.
