John Arruda

Peabody, senior

One year after moving to Peabody from Brazil, the striker netted 29 goals, one shy of the program’s single-season record, en route to Northeaste­rn Conference MVP honors. Arruda added 10 assists and was an All-State selection.

Joey Beshel

Melrose, senior

The Middlesex League Freedom MVP guided Melrose (14-5-2) to a league title with eight goals and 10 assists from the midfield, earning All-State and All-EMass recognitio­n. The two-time league All-Star will play soccer at Colby College.

Hunter Brodeur

Westport, senior

The two-time Mayflower MVP netted a state-high 39 goals, leading Westport (19-1-1) to an undefeated regular season and the program’s first league title since 2014, earning him an All-State selection. He also plays basketball.

Kamar Burris-Khan

Newton South, senior

Burris-Khan was the main scoring threat for Newton South (15-3-3) as the Lions reached the Division 1 state quarterfin­als. The Dual County MVP amassed 22 goals and eight assists and was an All-State selection. He will play at Bowdoin.

Carter Dennis

Bishop Stang, senior

The Catholic Central MVP from Lakeville netted 33 goals, including five hat tricks, during a breakout senior season. Dennis added 13 assists and was awarded All-State honors. He finished his career with 68 goals and 35 assists.

Joao Faria

Rockland, junior

Faria’s 32 goals broke Rockland’s single-season scoring record as the forward captured South Shore MVP and All-New England honors. Born in Brazil, the two-time EMass All-Star and two-time South Shore All-Star has 61 career goals.

Walter Fernandes

Brockton, senior

The Southeast Conference MVP led the Boxers (15-3-2) to a league title and a victory in the first round of the Division 1 tournament. An AllNew England selection, the senior’s exceptiona­l play on the backline frustrated opponents all season.

Sean Golembiews­ki

Hopkinton, senior

The speedster led Hopkinton (192-2) to new heights this fall, recording 18 goals and eight assists as the program reached its first Division 2 state final. The Tri-Valley Large MVP will run track at the University of Pennsylvan­ia.

Cody Holbert

Marshfield, senior

With 29 goals and 16 assists, the forward paced the Patriot League in scoring en route to Keenan Division MVP and All-State honors for the Rams (14-3-1). The two-time league All-Star had 47 career goals. He will play at Assumption.

Brian Jones

Billerica, junior

A varsity player since eighth grade, the Merrimack Valley MVP was also the state’s Division 2 Player of the Year. The high honor roll student made his presence felt in a 102-6 regular season, notching 12 goals and 7 assists.

Jorgo Karamelo

St. John’s (Shrewsbury), senior

Karamelo captained a high-flying offense with 11 goals and seven assists, helping the Pioneers finish 18-3-1 and reach the Division 1 state semis. The Catholic Conference All-Star earned All-State recognitio­n and had 52 career points.

Michael McDonough

Dedham, senior

The goalkeeper was named Tri-Valley Small MVP after posting 16 shutouts and a 0.30 goals against average as Dedham (19-1-3) reached the Division 3 state final. An All-State selection, McDonough had 20 career shutouts.

Marco Perugini

Medway, senior

The two-time All-Scholastic forward recorded 16 goals and 15 assists, earning All-State recognitio­n for a second time. Perugini finished his career with 46 goals and 25 assists and was the Tri-Valley MVP as a junior. He will play at Union.

Callum Rigby

St. John’s Prep, senior

The Prep’s leading scorer totaled 13 goals and six assists as his strong play from midfield led the Eagles to an undefeated season and the Division 1 state title. Rigby was a Catholic Conference All-Star and an AllState selection.

Barra Ryan

Latin Academy, junior

The Boston City League Player of the Year and EMSCA All-Star notched 13 goals and 15 assists, including the winning goals in the City League semifinal and final to lead the Dragons (14-5-1) to the city championsh­ip.

Ben Sharon

Framingham, senior

A three-year starter and two-year team captain, the Bay State Carey MVP and EMass All-Star’s strong leadership and tenacious play led the Flyers to an 11-3-5 record. He will study politics and internatio­nal affairs at Wake Forest.

Aidan Sheehan

Arlington, senior

With 13 goals and four assists, the Middlesex MVP paced the Spy Ponders in scoring for a second time, posting 24 career goals and seven assists. The All-New England selection played a key role in an undefeated regular season.

Des Simon

Concord-Carlisle, senior

A four-year varsity starter, Simon’s prowess in the center of the defense led the Patriots to a 15-3-2 record. The All-New England selection was a two-time Dual County League All-Star and also served as a team captain.

Ryan Thomas

Central Catholic, senior

The Merrimack Valley Division 1 MVP was stout on the backline, helping Central post eight shutouts and capture the league title. The team captain from Billerica added one goal, four assists, and was named to the All-State team.

Alex Vecchioli

Attleboro, junior

A two-time Hockomock All-Star, the junior earned All-State honors by compiling 15 goals and four assists from his midfield position. With 29 career goals, the honor roll student with a 4.0 GPA has been voted a captain for next season.
