CIDADO, David August

-

Age 70, of Watertown, MA passed away, on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, surrounded by his loving family, in the comfort of his home, after a six-year long battle with kidney disease.

Born on, April 10,1953 to the late Geraldine Cidado (Leonard) and Robert Cidado in Somerville, MA. Growing up in Somerville with his other siblings, David was extremely creative and skillful. After graduating from Somerville High School June of 1972 and Sylvania Technical School in 1980, he later went on to obtain his BEE from Northeastern University in 1985, which led to his career as a Failure Technician Engineer at Philips Color Kinetics for over two decades.

A true outdoorsman at heart, nothing brought him more joy than being on his Harley with his wife on the back on a beautiful day or camping and being surrounded by his family around the campfire under a moonlit sky.

Some of his favorite places to visit were Mousam Lake and Sebago Lake, Maine; as well as Laconia, Mt. Sunapee, and Madison, New Hampshire.

In his spare time, he loved playing cards, darts, watching the Patriots dominate on the field and working his craft in wood carving and knot making. His talents were evident in every masterpiece he created from raw materials. He was a “good man” loyal and true.

Above all, he dearly loved his wife, daughter, grandchildren, family, and friends. We will truly miss our loving Bubbie/Spudo.

David is survived by his devoted and loving wife, Tina; daughter, Perette and her husband, James Boyden; granddaughter, Raianna and her husband, James Blauvelt, granddaughter, Kat Sweeney and Shawn Rindone; grandson, Luke Boyden and Grandog Marshall.

Survived by his brother, Leonard Cidado and his wife, Diane; sister, Louise Cirame and her husband, Stephen; brother, Robert Cidado; sister, Virginia Hayes and her husband, Edward; as well as two godchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
