Win Davenport
Duxbury, senior
A breaststroke specialist, Davenport won the 100 breaststroke at the Division 2 state meet (57.72) and swam on Duxbury’s 400 free relay team. The senior swims for the Kingfish club team and is committed to Denison University.
Jack DeMello
Cohasset, junior
At the Division 2 state meet, DeMello placed second in the 50 freestyle (21.83) and 100 free (48.35), and was part of Cohasset’s third place 200 free relay. The junior also finished third in the 100 free at South Sectionals (48.84).
Nico Frangioni
Weston, junior
At Division 2 states, Frangioni finished second in the 100 butterfly (50.90) and swam on Weston’s winning 200 free and 400 free relays, which contributed to the Wildcats’ state title. Frangioni swims for the Charles River Aquatics club team.
Evan Hoaglund
Weston, junior
Hoaglund won the 50 freestyle (21.13) and 100 free (46.48) at Division 2 states, contributing to Weston’s state title. The junior also swam on the Wildcats’ winning
200 medley relay (1:38.16) and 200 free relay (1:25.60).
Gerhardt Hoover
BC High, freshman
The freshman finished second in the 200 IM (1:55.39), helping BC High to a runner-up finish at Division 1 states. Hoover also won the 200 IM at South Sectionals (1:57.45) and was part of the Eagles’ first place 400 free relay.
Tim Johnson
Nauset, senior
Johnson shined at Division 2 states, winning the 200 IM (1:55.03) and 100 backstroke (51.36). The senior also notched a second-place finish in the 100 backstroke at the South Sectional meet (52.94). He’ll attend Bates.
William Mulgrew
Xaverian, sophomore
At South Sectionals, Mulgrew won the 200 freestyle (1:44.69) and took part in Xaverian’s first-place 200 medley relay (1:36.34). At Division 1 states, the sophomore finished second in the 500 free (4:35.63) and third in the 200 free (1:41.9).
Cam Pope
Marshfield, senior
Competing for the Hanover co-op, Pope won the Division 2 diving title (499.500) and was second at South Sectionals (444.30). The Fairfield commit also competed in the 2022 AAU Championships in Texas with South Shore Diving Club last July.
Nolan Schlessman
Lincoln-Sudbury, senior Schlessman captured gold in the 100 freestyle at Division 1 states (46.46) and North Sectionals (47.37), adding a first-place finish in the 200 free at sectionals. The senior was also part of L-S’s 200 and 400 free relays at states.
Quinn Schwab
Westford, senior
Schwab won the 200 freestyle (1:41.74) at the Division 1 state meet, helping Westford to its first state title since 2015. The Providence College-bound senior was also part of the Ghosts’ winning 400 free relay and 200 free relays.
David Topi
BC High, senior
Topi sparkled in his specialty, the 50 freestyle, with first place finishes at Division 1 states (20.96) and South Sectionals (21.96). The senior also swam on BC High’s 200 medley and 400 free relay teams at states.
Alex Yun
BC High, junior
Yun finished third in the 100 breaststroke at the Division 1 state meet (58.39) and swam on BC High’s first-place 400 free relay. At South Sectionals, he placed third in the 100 butterfly (53.25) and second in the 100 breast (59.26).
