Pete Clark

Mr. Pete Clark, 77, of Woodstock, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2015 at Grady Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 25, 2015 from the New Hope Baptist Church with Pastor Joe Lumpkin, Rev. Calvin Anderson and Rev. Rick Jones officiatin­g. Interment followed in Rolling Hills Memory Gardens.

Mr. Clark was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. He retired from General Motors and was a Coin Collector.

He was preceded in death by his sons, Jimmy Clark and Ricky Clark. Survivors include his wife, Ann Clark of Woodstock; grandson, Kyle (Angela) Clark of Calhoun; step great-grandchild­ren, Cheyenne and Brody; adopted great-grandchild­ren, Jacob and Lindzee Alred.

Robert Belliveau

Robert James Belliveau, age 69 of Calhoun, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 8, 2015 at Gordon Hospital.

Robert was born on May 11, 1946 in New York City, N.Y. to the late John Belliveau and Kathryn Walsh Belliveau. He was a member of the Classic American Rides Car Club and was a retired truck driver for Mohawk. Robert was of the Catholic faith.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy Mackenzie of Calhoun; three sons, Robert A. Belliveau and his wife Sharon of Ohio, Arthur J. Belliveau and his wife Heather of Alabama, and Jack Mackenzie and his wife Sherri; daughter, Michelle Mackenzie Dupree and her husband Roger of Sugar Valley; ten grandchild­ren; and six great-grandchild­ren.

A Funeral Mass was conducted on Sunday, Oct. 11 at 3:30 p.m. from the St. Clement’s Catholic Church with Deacon Bradford Krupa officiatin­g. The Belliveau family will receive friends on Saturday, Oct. 10 at 4 p.m., at the family residence and on Sunday after the Funeral Mass at Saint Clement’s Catholic Church.

Tommy Hall

Mr. Tommy Lee Hall, age 83, of Rydal, died Thursday, Oct. 8, 2015 at Gordon Hospital. He was born in Gordon County on April 1, 1932, son of the late Sherman and Lilly Haris Hall.

Mr. Hall was a barber for many years in this area.

Survivors include his wife of more than 60 years, Dorothy Bailey Hall; a brother, Howard Hall of Calhoun; a sister, Eloise Hall; a special family friend, Nellon G. Powell; and other loving relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Tommy Lee Hall was held Sunday, Oct. 11, at 3 p.m. from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Jason Parker officiatin­g. Music was arranged by Ethel Knight. Interment followed in Hayes Cemetery. Nephews will serve as active pallbearer­s. Honorary pallbearer­s were Larry Crump, James Dooley, Melvin Kilgore, and Richard Chastain.

The Hall family received friends at the funeral home Saturday, Oct. 10th from 5 until 8 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 11 from noon until 3 p.m.

Mrs. Jerri Holly Robertson, age 48, of Tunnel Hill, departed this life Thursday, Oct. 8, 2015 at her residence. Holly was born Aug. 12, 1966 in Dalton, a daughter of the late Jerry Lamar and Veronica MacConkey Crider. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Connie Crider Beal and her father- in- law, Henry Horton Robertson.

Holly was a 1984 graduate of Ringgold High School. She received her R.N. degree from Dalton State College. She worked several years at Southeaste­rn Freight Company and many years in the labor and delivery at Hamilton Medical Center and at Gordon Hospital. Holly was a very caring and loving person.

She is survived by her husband, Jeff Robertson; son and daughter-in-law, Ryan and Ariel “Jade” Robertson; daughter, Meagan Leann Robertson and her fiancée, Howell Jordan; grandson, Haygen Cummings; sister, Tammy Crider; brother-inlaw, Charles Beal; nieces, Stephanie Kinsey and Stephanie Smith; nephews, Jerry Beal and Chris Smith; mother-in-law, Carolyn Robertson; sisters-inlaw, Phyllis Smith, Beverly Poarch, Kathy Henson and Angie Robertson; aunt, Debbie Montgomery Roberts; special friend, Kim Jones; several greatniece­s and great-nephews, and many friends.

Service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Jerri Holly Robertson was held Sunday, Oct. 11, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Clifford Chambers officiatin­g. She will be laid to rest at the Robertson Family Cemetery with Jerry Beal, Howell Jordan, Darrell Poarch, William Hall, Chris Smith, Jeremy Layman, Eddie Henson and Claude Belle serving as pallbearer­s.

Harry Whitfield

Harry R. Whitfield, age 68 of Calhoun, died from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Harry is the son of the late Marvin Whitfield and Mazel Patterson Strickland. He was a self-employed carpenter and a lifetime resident of Gordon County. Harry was of the Baptist faith and a member of Belmont Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his wife Linda Whitfield.

Survivors include his daughters Pam Mills of Calhoun and Lara Whitfield of Canton; stepsons, Randy and Ricky Fields, both of Jasper; grandchild­ren, Monica Mills, Maci Mills, and Tyler Whitfield.

Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, Oct. 11, 2015 at 3 p.m. from the chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Rev. Clyde McEntyre and Rev. Lamar Bearden officiatin­g. Burial will follow in Fain Cemetery.

Mrs. Morene McBee Arnold, better known by her friends as “Mo”, age 82 of Calhoun, formerly of Rome, died Saturday, Oct. 10, 2015 in a local nursing facility after several years of declining health.

She was born in Gordon County on Feb. 4, 1933, daughter of the late Lee and Myrtle Sisson McBee. Prior to her retirement, she owned and operated the Dairy King in Adairsvill­e for 28 years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Arnold in 2011; a sister, Patty McBee Barton; a brother, Gene McBee; and brothers-in-law, David Barton and Grady Blankenshi­p.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Sherry and Ricky Marshall of Calhoun; her sister, Grathel Blankenshi­p of Nicklesvil­le; two brothers, Larry (Buck) McBee and his wife Betty of Calhoun, and Johnny McBee and his wife Dell of Resaca; and a sister-in-law, Yvonne McBee of Calhoun. A special friend, Rachael (Bootie) Hobgood, and a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives also survive.

Eddie Brannon, Dr. Billy Goolesby and Rev. Jack Cole officiatin­g. Interment will follow in Floyd Memory Gardens. Pallbearer­s serving included Jamie Barton, Ricky McBee, Ronnie Blankenshi­p, Jeff McBee, Kurt McBee, Johnny McBee and Larry (Buck) McBee.

Allen Cline

Mr. Allen “Bryant” Cline, age 83, of Dalton, departed this life, Sunday Oct. 11, 2015 at his residence. Bryant was born Feb. 7, 1932 in Dalton, a son of the late Grover Cline, Sr. and Lowie Haygood Cline. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Grover Cline Jr., Edward Cline, Howard Cline, sisters, Margie Stone, Dorothy Brown.

He is survived by his wife, Patsy Neely Cline of the residence; son, Jeff Cline of Lafayette; daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Grant Walls of Chatsworth; brother and sisters-in-law, Truman and Carolyn Cline of Chatsworth, Ruby Neely of Taylorsvil­le; sister, Mary Jo Ellis of Chatsworth; grandchild­ren, Erika Quinton, Jordon Walls; great grandchild­ren, Angel Faith Quinton, JJ Quinton, Andrew Walls, Addilyn Walls; several nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Allen Bryant Cline will be held Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2015 at 2 p.m. from the Dalton First Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Mark Amspaugh officiatin­g. Interment will follow in the Whitfield Memorial Gardens with David Leatherman, Terry Cline, Eddy Ellis, Jordan Walls, Ricky Head and Kerry Miller serving as pallbearer­s.

The family received friends at the funeral home from 5 until 9 p.m. on Tuesday and after 10 a.m. on Wednesday.
