Malcolm Jordan

Malcolm Jarred Jordan, 22 of Adairsvill­e, died Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at Grady Hospital from injuries sustained in an automobile accident on April 20.

Survivors include his son, Lucus Jordan; fiancé, Heather Douthitt of Resaca; mother, Sherri Bell of Adairsvill­e; and father and stepmother, Bobby and Carolyn Jordan of College Park.

A memorial service for Malcolm Jarred Jordan will be held Saturday, May 21 at 10 a. m. at Divine Faith Ministries in Jonesboro, with Bishop Don Battle officiatin­g. Interment will follow in Gordon Memorial Gardens.

Syble Downer

Syble Ruth Downer, 79 of Sugar Valley, died May 18, 2016. She worked at Lockheed for twenty years until she retired.

She is preceded in death by her late husband, Curtis Downer.

Family members include her son David Downer and wife, Antansyn, of Pearson; her late daughter, Wonda Poor and husband, Albert, of Lincolnton; her grandchild­ren Matthew Downer, Roxanne Woodall, Joshua Downer, Burton Poor, Kara McGahee, Miriam Jones and fourteen great grandchild­ren.

The family will receive friends on Friday, May 20, 2016 from 11 a. m. until 1 p. m. at the funeral home. The funeral service will follow the visitation at 1 p.m. from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home. Burial will follow the service at Haven of Rest Memorial Park.
