Gordon Hospital’s CREATION Health Farmers’ Market is a local market providing local farmers and producers the opportunity to sell fresh produce and homemade items to local consumers. This includes but is not limited to fresh fruit, vegetables, flowers, plants, herbs, nuts, honey, jams, jellies, salsas, oil, vinegars, baked goods, beverages, and 100 percent handmade arts and crafts. There is no fee to participate as a vendor. The market runs every Thursday evening from 5 - 7 p.m. June 16 – Aug. 18. The market is located on the campus of Gordon Hospital at 1035 Red Bud Road NE. Week of July 17

A benefit will be held at the Oostanaula School. Community Club, located at 1595 Oostanaula Bend Rd. S. W. in Calhoun, on Saturday, July 23, 2016 beginning at 5 p.m. The benefit will be for purchasing the materials to repair the floors in the building. Jerusalem Ridge will be providing the entertainment. The benefit will include cakewalks, door prizes, and lots of auction items. Victory Fellowship Center's School Supply Giveaway will be held Saturday, July 30 from 9 a.m. until noon. Free school supplies, gently used clothing while supplies last! There will be a benefit held July 30, 2016 at the Oostanaula Community Clubhouse located at 1595 SW, Oostabaula Bend Road, west of Calhoun off Hwy 156. Home cooked meal $6.00 includes a drink and dessert. Meal served between 5 – 6 p.m. Cakewalk, old-fashioned gospel singing, auction. All proceeds will go toward building Salacoa Creek Baptist Church, located at Hwy. 156 between 1-75 & Hwy 411. The church, presently has services at 210 Hood St., Calhoun, GA.
