The home city of President Obama is Chicago, Illinois. The population of Chicago is 45 percent white, 31.8 percent black and 28.9 percent Hispanic. In 2011, there were 171 offenders convicted of murder. Of these offenders, 71.3 percent were black, 24.6 percent were Hispanic and 3.5 percent were white. Reverend Jackson and Al Sharpton will quote these figures and say that it is proof that the justice department is treating blacks unfairly. They will say that the white people that committed murder were released while the black people were incarcerated. If the Black Lives Matter group really wants to make a difference, they should go to Chicago to work on this problem. In 2011, 75.3 percent of the people that were murdered were black people. The problem in Chicago is not racism, because the black deaths are primarily coming from black offenders. White victims account for 4.2 percent of the murders and they are primarily from white offenders.

The total population of the United States in 2015 was 321,419,000. Of this population, 77 percent are white. The black population is 13.3 percent. There is 13 percent of the population receiving food stamps. In the white population, that is 6.8 percent of the population receiving food stamps and in the black population that percentage is 24.6 percent.
