Lisa SmitheyMat­his, of Dalton, and Charles “Chuck” Bartenfiel­d, of Resaca, are delighted to announce their engagement.

The bride- to- be is the mother of Marc (Amy) Mathis and Brady Mathis of Dalton, and Caiti ( Brian) Walker and Tyler (Kim) Mathis of Chatsworth. She is the grandmothe­r of Eli Walker and Braylon Johnson of Chatsworth and Caylee, Caden, Luke, and Zoe Mathis of Dalton. She is the daughter of Edna Smithey and the late J. C. Smithey and the granddaugh­ter of the late Guy and Eva Nell Thomas and the late George and Bertha Smithey, all of Dalton.

The future groom is the father of Keisha ( Nick) Robison and Amber ( Adam) Diskey of Calhoun and Brittany ( Chris) Seritt of Resaca. He is the grandfathe­r of Taylor and Karley Robison of Calhoun and Taurasi Seritt of Resaca. He is the son of Robert and Linda Bartenfiel­d of Resaca and the grandson of the late Ann Young of Calhoun, Onice Young of Ringgold, and the late Glen and Ruth Bartenfiel­d of Dalton.

The future bride attended Southeast High School and Dalton State College. She graduated from the Medical and Technical Institute of North Georgia as a Certified Phlebotomi­st, EKG/ ECG Technician and Health Care Technician. She is employed with Cross Plains Community Partner as a Direct Support Profession­al.

The groom- to- be attended Calhoun High School and is employed by ProGrass Turf as a Field Supervisor.

The wedding is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 27, 2016.
