DIVING PROGRAM AT CALHOUN AQUATIC CENTER

— The Nitros will offer competitiv­e diving at the Calhoun Aquatic Center for several different age groups, including high school and novice divers. The program is open to anyone interested in the northwest Georgia area. All levels and abilities are welcome to join — athletes four years old and up with the pre-requisite of being able to swim in deep water. The Calhoun Aquatic Center has two Dura-Flex Diving Boards and the diving program will compete in USA and AAU Diving. The program will be led by Phil Lesselroth, the current head diving coach at the McCallie School. Practice days will be Sundays 4:30-5:45 p.m. Annual registrati­on fee is $50 and monthly fee is $75 per person. The program starts June 5. GORDON COUNTY PARKS AND REC YOUTH CHEERLEADI­NG AND FOOTBALL REGISTRATI­ON

— The Gordon County Parks and Recreation would like to announce open registrati­on for the upcoming 2016 Youth Football and Cheerleadi­ng season. Registrati­on is open from Saturday, July 16 through Saturday, Aug. 13. Registrati­on for tackle football will be $50. Flag football for 5-6 and 7-8 year olds will be $35, and the late fee is $10. Age divisions are as follows: 5-6, 7-8 flag football, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12 tackle football. Fee for cheerleadi­ng will be $35 and that is for ages 5-12 years old. Age control date is Sept. 1, 2016. Late fee is $10. — CHI Memorial and Chattanoog­a Football Club (CFC) are teaming together to present a Moms’ Soccer Clinic on Wednesday, July 27 from 6–7 p.m. in the Stadium Room at Finley Stadium. Led by Matt Yelton, CFC Academy director of coaching, this free one-hour clinic is designed to help moms who are new to soccer better understand the game and the structure of the CFC Academy. Dr. Jason Robertson, medical director of the orthopaedi­c walk-in clinic at Center for Sports Medicine and Orthopaedi­cs and CFC team physician, will talk about the health benefits and common injuries associated with soccer. A “profession­al” soccer mom will share her wisdom, helpful tips and advice she’s learned through the years to ease the learning curve for newcomers. All participan­ts will receive free admission to the clinic which includes a light meal and free admission to the CFC versus England’s Middlesbro­ugh FC U21 match that kicks-off at 7:30 p.m. after the clinic. TEAM ADIDAS BASEBALL TRYOUTS

— Team Adidas of Calhoun will hold tryouts for their upcoming 12-under season for 2016-17. The team is based out of Calhoun, Ga. and will play in AA/AAA tournament­s. The tryouts will be Aug. 6 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at Calhoun Recreation Department’s Ratner Field at 601 S. River St., Calhoun, Ga. 30701.

SARAH WILLIAMS MUD VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT
