Join the fun-join Cub Scouting
The Boy Scouts of America wants to make it easy to join Cub Scouting. On Thursday, Aug. 25 at 7 p. m., boys and their families will be able to sign up for Scouting in a number of locations across Bartow and Gordon counties.
Cub Scouting is for boys in the first through fifth grades. The program combines outdoor activities, sports, academics, and more in a fun and exciting program that helps families teach ideals such as honesty, good citizenship and respect. Last year, more than 5,000 youth participated in Scouting programs across Northwest Georgia Council.
Cub Scouting sign- up events, will be held at Bartow and Gordon county elementary schools and Cartersville and Calhoun Elementary Schools on Aug. 25 at 7 p. m.
Join Scouting fliers will be distributed in schools before the scheduled sighup events. Interested boys and parents are encouraged to attend a meeting in their neighborhood elementary school.
Cub Scout sign- ups are scheduled at the following locations:
Bartow County Elementary schools
Emerson Baptist Church
Northpointe Church in Adairsville
Gordon County Elementary schools
Cartersville Elementary School
Calhoun Elementary School
