Calhoun High School chooses court for Homecoming 2016
Calhoun High School will be celebrating their annual Homecoming the week of Sept. 12 with the theme “Board Games # gameon.” Each day of homecoming week, students will enjoy the following dress up day themes: Monday, Color Games; Tuesday, Salad Dressing; Wednesday, #gameon; Thursday, VS; and Friday, Extreme Spirit.
Representatives for the Homecoming Court are: freshmen Erin Barnes, Madalyn Cross, Anna George, Emma King and Jenna Santori; sophomores Ariana Guzman Cantellano, Ashton Ensley, Marley Gentry, Daleigh Higgins and Trinity Reyes; juniors Sarah Green, Alexis Moss, Alexis Owens. Julia Palazzolo and Cecelia Swink; and seniors Sammy Bramblett, Kelsey Hall, Abrinna Nannie, Marlee Nichelson and Tori Trimble.
An assembly will be held this Friday, Sept. 9 to recognize the following:
Homecoming Queen Court: Sammy Bramlett, Kelsey Hall, Abrinna Nannie, Marlee Nichelson, Tori Trimble
Homecoming King Court: Rhett Abernathy, Jacob Callahan, Olico Dennis, William Long, Baylon Spector
Homecoming Representatives: Erin Barnes ( Freshman), Ashton Ensley ( Sophomore), Cecelia Swink ( Junior)
Float building for the Homecoming Parade will be Monday, Sept. 12 - Wednesday, Sept. 14 from 3: 30 - 9: 30 p. m. each day at the National Guard Armory. Clean-up each evening should be completed by 10 p. m. Parents and students may load in by driving trailers to the Armory and dropping off any pre- constructed float components during the day on Monday before decorating begins.
The Homecoming Parade will be held on Thursday, Sept. 15 at 6: 30 p. m. Line- up will begin at 5: 30 p. m. on North Park Avenue next to the Calhoun- Gordon County Library. Anyone wishing to participate in the parade needs to submit an electronic application by Friday, Sept. 9.
The Homecoming Game on Friday, Sept. 16 will pit the Calhoun Yellow Jackets against Coahulla Creek Colts. The game will kickoff at 7: 30 p. m.
