Northside Bank announces several new hires

The board of directors of NorthSide Bank is pleased to announce several new employees have joined NorthSide Bank this year. These new hires have significan­tly enhanced the Bank’s financial and lending functions.

Joe Kauffman has been named Chief Lending Officer. “We are delighted to have Mr. Kauffman join our team,” said Larry Flowers, President/ CEO. “He is a highly skilled and respected banker who brings a wealth of sales experience to NorthSide Bank.”

A graduate from Murray State University, Mr. Kauffman is a seasoned banker with extensive experience in commercial lending. Most recently, Mr. Kauffman served as an Executive Vice President and North Georgia National Bank, where he led the efforts to grow a quality loan portfolio. Mr. Kauffman resides in Calhoun, Georgia with his wife and children.

Suzanne Seabolt has joined the bank as Chief Financial Officer. “Ms. Seabolt has outstandin­g technical skills and a passion for using business intelligen­ce to identify opportunit­ies to enhance financial and operationa­l performanc­e. She has made an excellent addition to NorthSide Bank’s executive team,” said Mr. Flowers.

A native of Birmingham, Alabama. Ms. Seabolt is a CPA who graduated from the University of Alabama. Her past experience includes serving as Regional Chief Financial Officer for Synovus Financial Corporatio­n. Jerry Chatman has been appointed as the City Executive for NorthSide Bank’s Cartersvil­le office. “With the ongoing economic developmen­t in our Cartersvil­le market, we knew it was essential for NorthSide Bank to add an excellent seasoned commercial banker, such as Mr. Chatman, to our team to best serve the businesses of Bartow County,” stated Flowers.

A 1995 graduate of Kennesaw University, Mr. Chatman has spent most of his career in banking. Most recently, he served as First Vice President of Commercial Lending at Vinings Bank.

Gary Floyd has joined the bank as Senior Vice President for the Adairsvill­e office. “I have respected Mr. Floyd tremendous­ly for his work in our community,” said Mr. Flowers. “His advice is sought by industry and community organizati­ons alike, and NorthSide Bank will significan­tly benefit having Mr. Floyd join us.”

A graduate of Jacksonvil­le State University, Mr. Floyd brings a wealth of banking experience. Mr. Floyd served the banking needs of the Summervill­e area before moving to Adairsvill­e, Georgia. In addition to the hiring of new employees, NorthSide Bank also appointed two new members to its board of directors this year. Don Leeper joined the board in February 2016. A graduate of Loma Linda University, Mr. Leeper spent much of his career at the crossroads of the health care industry and high technology, improving clinical documentat­ion for healthcare providers nationally. Mr. Leeper was a partner in J. A. Thomas and Associates (JATA), in Atlanta, Georgia. In 2012, J. A. Thomas and Associates was sold to Nuance Communicat­ions, Inc. Mr. Leeper and his wife reside in Cartersvil­le, Georgia. They have four children.

In June 2016, Calhoun, Georgia native, Kenny Fuquea joined NorthSide Bank’s board of directors. Mr. Fuquea serves as Vice President of Business Developmen­t for Santek Waste Services. Moreover, Mr. Fuquea is very active in the Gordon County community, including past service with the Gordon County Chamber of Commerce as Chairman, on the Board of Directors and on the Executive Board.

NorthSide Bank, a locally owned and managed community bank headquarte­red in Adairsvill­e, Georgia, opened in 2005 and has additional locations in Cartersvil­le and Calhoun.
