night was really hard on him. The doctors had to increase his pain medications and also increase his sedation.”

With such a long road of recover ahead, the family will need to make their home more wheelchair accessible, to make Ryder’s transition and quality of life the best that can be offered. They are currently looking for a contractor to help with the project. They are also facing mounting medical bills.

“We are going into week two of Ryder being on a ventilator,” said Paige. “After all his surgeries, we will focus on slowly weaning him off of it.”

The family wishes to thank the community for their prayers and support. “We still need them every single day,” said Paige. “Ryder is a fighter, and I will continue to fight for him.”
