Harris Arts Gospel Night to be held Oct. 15

- Staff Reports

Eddie Brannon will host “An Evening of Gospel Music” featuring the Jordan Family Band on Saturday, Oct. 15, at 7 p.m. at the Harris Arts Center.

Following in his father’s footsteps, Eddie hosts a thirty- minute WEBS radio show every Sunday morning called “Max Brannon Gospel Time.” In its 49th year, Eddie is proud to carry on the tradition of bringing true Southern gospel to the community.

The Jordan Family Band represents something that few people witness in today’s gospel music scene: a complete family unit singing, playing, and ministering together. The Jordan Family, Josh, Randa, Hutch, Alex, and Grant, are members of New Town Baptist Church in Calhoun, Georgia. The family has been blessed to play main stage at the National Quartet Convention for the past two years and will be featured in the October edition of Singing News magazine.

With a new recording due out in October, “Joshua 24: 15,” the Jordan Family Band has generated a buzz in gospel music and was asked to do a radio interview previewing the new project on The Fish and Singing News radio which will be aired in late October.

Each week the family travels across the country to such states as Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Alabama, to name a few. But the Jordans always return home to Calhoun. Follow the JFB at Facebook.com/ thejordanfamilyband a nd www. thejordanfamilyband. com.
