Commission­ers meet on the fourth Wednesday of each month for the regular called Board Meetings at 12:00 p.m. Special Board meetings will be advertised in advance. Gordon Hospital will host Ladies Night at the Sonoravill­e Recreation Department on Thursday, Oct. 6 from 6 – 8 p.m.

Gordon Hospital will host the Gordon County Chamber of Commerce Booster Breakfast on Friday, Oct. 7 beginning at 7:30 a.m. in the North Tower of the hospital. The October meeting of the Conasauga Chapter of the Georgia Nurses Associatio­n will meet on Monday, Oct. 3, 2016 at 7 p.m. at the Whitfield County Health Center. The program will be on flight nursing presented by Johnny Cowart, RN, CFRN, NRP. This will be an interestin­g and exciting program. A meal will be provided. We will have vegetable soup and taco soup. Bake Sale and Benefit for Ryder Stone will be held on Sunday, Oct. 9 at BB&T City Park in Downtown Calhoun. Will start selling at 9 a.m. Kona Ice truck will be there at 12 p.m. There will be t-shirts and wrist bands on sale. Will also sell tickets for a raffle which will include some of the following items: Tractor Supply gift card, two Tractor Supply hats, gift card form Emi Lu’s Cakes, gift card from Hannah’s nails and more.

Gordon County Parks and Recreation would like to invite you to take part in its fitness program. All classes are held at the Sonoravill­e Recreation Complex in the Fitness Center and are held on a continuous, month-tomonth basis.
