On Saturday, Oct. 29, Gordon Health & Rehabilita­tion will be having a Fall Festival Fundraiser from 10 a.m. - 4 p. m.. Everyone is invited to attend and enjoy a variety of food including hot dogs, pizza, funnel cakes and cotton candy; carnival type games; speedy BINGO; face painting; cake walks; split the pot and raffles. All proceeds go towards the residents’ activities and the Alzheimer’s Associatio­n.

Calhoun Premium Outlet’s free upcoming Trick- or- Treat Off the Street event on Oct. 31. Starting at 5 p.m., families can enjoy a spook-tacular night full of candy, costumes and fun! There will be a benefit at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 5 Renae Pearce at the Oostanula Community Center (the old Oostanaula school building), located at 1595 Oostanaula Bend Road SW in Calhoun. Barbecue plates for $ 6, which includes drink and dessert. Entertainm­ent will include the Eagle Mountain group, auction and cakewalk. Raffle tickets are being sold $1 per ticket or 6 for $5 for a chance to win a new 32’’ TV or Craftsman Skill Saw. The benefit is to help Renae with medical bills and to get needed surgery after being injured; she does not currently have insurance and is unemployed. All donations are welcome and appreciate­d.
