BSA Troop 22 holds Sack Lunch fundraiser

Joziah Freeman, Will Gallman, Patrick Gilreath, Alli McDougal, Zach McDougal, Caleb McFarland, Chloe McFarland, Caleb Pack, Zack Pack, Bradley Putnam, and Ethan Sewell. Present but not pictured are Noah Pack and Anna Trantham. The troop was able to raise funds to purchase much needed work tables and camping equipment.

There will be a Special Election in Gordon County on Dec. 13, 2016, to fill the vacancy of Charlie Bethel for Senate District 54. The following candidates will be listed on the ballot: Conda Lowery (Republican) Chuck Payne (Republican) Debby Peppers Shell Underwood (Republican) William Vinyard (Republican) Gordon County is divided into two Senate Districts, 52 and 54. Therefore, only those voters that reside within Senate District 54 will be eligible to vote in this Special Election. Goodson

The following voting precincts will be open on Tuesday, Dec. 13 from 7a.m. until 7 p.m. for eligible voters to cast their ballot in the Special Election: Sonoraville Red Bud Resaca Pine Chapel Oakman Fairmount Early voting will begin on Monday, Nov. 28 in the Gordon County Board of Elections Office located in the Gordon County Annex building from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. The last day to cast your ballot early will be on Friday, Dec. 9.
