TOBI Says, College Football at its best

-

Rivalry Week and Bowl season are winding down with a flurry. It is always a special time. Fans live and die with their teams. The local fans have cheered their teams all their lives. They have a passion for their team.

Some of the players have grown up following their team. Some of the players have come from other areas of the country and are just learning the traditions. They have a head knowledge of what the rivalry is. As they experience the activities each year, their passion and pride grow.

The bowl games are a fun time. The players know about the bowl games. But as they personally experience the activities, their passion also grows. Like those at the Liberty Bowl in Memphis. As they visit the children’s hospital and see some of the results that they can have touching the lives of the children, and helping to raise money for a good cause. The passion goes from head knowledge to the heart.

These things are also true in the life of a Christian. Knowing you must be saved is a head knowledge, that must come first. Getting saved is just the beginning of the life of a Christian.

The experiences along the way of life, of facing challenges and opportunities develop the passion as God works in your life. The experiences of touching lives, and knowing God make a difference in the heart.

So get in the game, and go from head knowledge to passions of the heart. See what God can do, and experience God at His best.
