Calhoun-Gordon County Retired Educators Association has successful fundraising auction
Thank you to the many supporters of the Calhoun Gordon County Scholarship Second-Annual Auction. The Auction was held this year in the Media Center of Calhoun High School. As before, retired educators and other individuals, along with many businesses in Calhoun and Gordon County, donated items to be auctioned off.
The second- annual auction was a huge success. The total proceeds for the November 2016 event stand at $ 5223. Money raised went into the recently developed Calhoun Gordon County Scholarship Foundation. From these funds, three scholarships will be given to seniors from each of the three local high schools who will be working toward an educational degree in college.
