Mr. Olen “Gus” Emory Parker, 72, of Calhoun, died Thursday, March 2, 2017 at Calhoun Health Care following several years of declining health. He was born in Gordon County on Oct. 17, 1944, son of the late Charles and Irene Barnes Parker. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Harold Parker, Anthony Parker, Frank Parker, and Arvil Parker; and a sister, Joyce Ellis.

Survivors include his sons and daughterin- law, Ricky and Jennifer Parker, and Robert Parker, all of Calhoun; his daughters and sonsin- law, Jody Parker of Hampton, Lisa and Shannon Vanscoy of Cartersvil­le, and Michelle and Robert Marion of Altus, Okla.; brothers and sisters- in- law, Scott and Jennie Parker of Shannon, and Charles and Mindy Parker of Calhoun; a sister, Helen Brown of Calhoun; grandchild­ren, Angela Lupo, Timothy Parker, Kayla Faber, Christy Allen, Marlisa West, Justin West, Brook West, and Samantha Ruzicka; and great- grandchild­ren, Nehemiah Allen, Noah Allen, Eli Faber, Georgia Lupo, Jasmine Lupo, and Aubry and Kelsi Ruzicka.

A Memorial Service to honor the life of Mr. Olen “Gus” Emory Parker was held Monday, March 6 at 7 p. m. from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.
