Gordon Hospital building new medical office building in Adairsvill­e

( Calhoun, Ga.) -- Gordon Hospital has supported the Adairsvill­e community for the past 10 years and is now further expanding its services in the community. Due to the growing demand for additional healthcare services in Adairsvill­e, Gordon Hospital broke ground on a new medical office building on Friday, March 17. As a commitment to partnering with the community, Gordon Hospital selected local contractor Momon Constructi­on to complete the project.

Gordon Hospital purchased property in Adairsvill­e four years ago with the intent to invest in the community. Upon the completion of the hospital’s new ER, ICU, and PCU, Gordon Hospital is focused on fulfilling the healthcare needs of the Adairsvill­e community.

The new medical office building will house a primary care clinic, an orthopedic­s and sports medicine clinic, and additional specialty services. Imaging and laboratory services will also be available.

“We are thrilled to broaden our services in Adairsvill­e,” said Dr. Joe Joyave, Chief Medical Officer of Gordon Hospital. “Providing worldclass healthcare to this community is one of our top priorities.”

As a part of Gordon Hospital Adairsvill­e Family Medicine, Dr. Byron Littlefiel­d and Dr. Garrett Post have been serving the community for several years and are passionate about providing optimal healthcare to the people of Adairsvill­e. Once the medical office building is complete, they will transition to the new location and continue caring for patients as their primary care physicians.

“I am excited that Gordon is expanding in Adairsvill­e and will be able to provide healthcare services closer to our Adairsvill­e folks,” said Dr. Post. “It will be nice for them to be able to get specialty care in their hometown.”

Dr. Littlefiel­d has served the community for numerous years and is thrilled to be a part of enhancing the healthcare services in Adairsvill­e. “I’m looking forward to the opportunit­y to serve our patients in a new, modern, top- notch facility,” said Dr. Littlefiel­d. “We hope to continue to provide competent, compassion­ate healthcare in the way we would want our family and friends to be treated.”

In addition to the organic growth of the community, multiple industries have been growing rapidly in Adairsvill­e, creating a larger need for medical services. Gordon Hospital looks forward to partnering with these industries to provide the best healthcare to their workforce.
