Local authors release new book

An event to celebrate the release of Danny and Wanda Pelfrey’s new book, “As a Shield”, will be held Thursday evening, April 6, at the Sans Souci Clubhouse behind the depot at the corner of Railroad and Park Streets in Adairsville from 6: 30 - 8: 30 pm. Early copies will be available for purchase, and the authors on hand to sign them at a special prepublication price of $ 14. Refreshments will be served.

“As a Shield” will be released for sale on April 21 in bookstores and online at sites that include Amazon and Barnes & Noble. The publisher is CrossLink Publishing located in Castle Rock Colo. It is the second book in the planned fourbook Davis Morgan mystery series set in Adairsville.

Danny and Wanda Pelfrey are natives and residents of Adairsville. Wanda’s previously best known work was the Moody Press published “Making the Most of Your Child’s Teachable Moments,” which went through several printings. Danny compiled and served as one of the authors of the recently published volume, “Life in Adairsville.”

The first Davis Morgan book was produced by a selfpublishing company. The Pelfreys are thrilled to have received a contract from CrossLink, a traditional publisher, for the second book in the series, which insures greater quality of product and wider distribution.

“Out of the Depths,” the first book in the series, will also be available at a special price, as will “Life in Adairsville” “One- Way Choices in a WrongWay World,” Danny’s first book.

Danny and Wanda invite all their friends to drop by sometime during the two- hour span to have some refreshments, enjoy the fellowship and go home with a signed mystery novel which is set locally.
