TOBI Says, Go team!

soccer matches, track meets, tennis matches and golf matches among other athletic activities. There are academic activities also. There are debate teams, academic bowls, 4-H and FFA competitions, drama competitions and other activities to be involved in for many students. There are individual events within the team events.

There is a special feeling when you put on that team uniform. You become a part of a group.

Outside of school there are little league teams, travel basketball teams, swim teams and many other activities. Again you become part of a group. This is true when you participate in a 5k run. You may be just a walker supporting a good charity, but when you put that number on your shirt, you have joined a group.

There is a pride and joy in doing that. There is a special feeling for helping a team reach a goal.

The best thing is when you ask Jesus to come into your heart and forgive your sin. You become a Christian and join God’s family. That is the best group. There is a special feeling of joy when you are serving Him. This is the true winning team.

That team has many activities also. Last summer a group of churches got together to perform a number of services for the community. They did projects for seniors, like trimming hedges, cutting grass and even building ramps for wheelchairs. Others visited nursing homes and shut-ins. Other groups did work projects for the community.

Everybody could be a part of the team. There were teens, children and young adults, as well as older adults. Each member was important, and necessary, to help the team succeed and reach the goal.

The purpose of the team is to share the message of Jesus to the world. And that world begins next door to you. So join the team today, and if you are already on the team, invite others to join with you.
