Mrs. Ollie Mae Sexton, age 76, of Adairsvill­e, died Friday May 5, 2017 at Gordon Health Care, following several years of declining health.

Mrs. Sexton was born Jan. 7, 1941, in Isom, Ky., daughter of the late Oda and Mary Rackey Amburgey. Ollie was married to H. C. Sexton, who preceded her in death on March 1, 2016, and was also preceded in death by a brother, Gay Amburgey.

Those surviving include her sons, Eugene Sexton and his wife, Millie, of Dalton, and H. C. Sexton, Jr. and his wife, Neva, of Marshall, N. C.; a daughter, Brenda Thompson of Adairsvill­e; brothers, Jimmy Amburgey, Don Amburgey and his wife, Wendy, and Floyd Amburgey and his wife, Bonnie, all of Ohio; and two sisters, Mary Hellen Folck and her husband Joe, and Madonna Hunter and her husband, Sean, all of Ohio. Grandchild­ren surviving are Michael Hunter, Desiree Nicole Torok, Heather Hunter, Matthew Sexton, Sarah Reinert, Nicole Land and Melanie Poe. Thirteen great- grandchild­ren; a sister- inlaw, Linda Amburgey, nieces and nephews, and other relatives also survive.

The funeral service for Mrs. Ollie Mae Sexton was held on Sunday, May 7 at 3 p.m. from the chapel of Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. George Gray and Rev. Luke Morgan officiatin­g. Burial followed in the Sexton Family Cemetery. Pallbearer­s serving included Troy Smith, Eric Ledbetter, Greg Banks, Michael Hunter, Andrew Miller and D. Miller.

The family received friends on Saturday, May 6 between the hours of 6 and 8 p. m. at the funeral home.
