Synovus/GB&T collect personal hygiene items for Calhoun’s VAC
Synovus/ Georgia Bank & Trust team members and customers in Calhoun recently collected 42 shoeboxes full of personal hygiene supplies as part of the Synovus North Georgia Division’s annual United Way Shoebox project for homeless men, women and children. The boxes will be distributed by Calhoun’s Voluntary Action Center (VAC), a United Way Agency.
Synovus/GB&T team member Nancy Parker coordinated the bank’s collection efforts. “Thanks to some awesome community members and coworkers, Georgia Bank & Trust was able to donate shoeboxes filled with toiletry items to the Voluntary Action Committee, a local United Way Agency,” said Parker. “We are grateful to the George Chamber Chambers Resource Center, all the school kids, Girl Scout Troops, families and community members who helped make this possible, and to WJTH who promoted this on the UW weekly radio spot.”
