Organizers gearing up for record crowds, best fireworks for this year’s Star Spangled Celebratio­n

The annual Star Spangled Celebratio­n will be held at the fairground­s on Hwy 53, Rome Road on Tuesday, July 4. A huge crowd is expected for the concerts.

The Mohawk Stage will featuring Zach Seabaugh as the event headliner. Seabaugh was a Top 5 Finalist on NBC’s show The Voice, representi­ng Team Blake. He is a phenomenal artist and we are excited to have him entertain in Calhoun. Nashville Artist Shelby Lee Lowe will also perform his modern country sounds and will be performing prior to the headline act. The Country River Band is a traditiona­l country band performing some of the best country hits ever. On Center Stage the evening will be highlighte­d by the Midnight Cry Trio, who will be featured performing some of their gospel hits including the song known across the world, “Midnight Cry”.

Expression Dancers will be performing and Magician Mike will be walking the grounds performing his amazing tricks and illusions.

Join us for an evening of great music, food, celebratio­n and fun for the whole family.

Inflatable­s and slides will be available for the kids. Vendors will feature all types of food and refreshmen­ts, t- shirts, novelties and crafts. We will end the night at 10 p. m. with the biggest and best fireworks ever, produced by Big Shots Fireworks. The event featuring free admission and parking is presented by Mohawk and other fine local sponsors.

Gates open at 5 p.m. and everything gets underway at 6 p. m. Bring your lawn chairs and come early for some of the best music you will ever hear. The event is alcohol free and family focused. Coolers are welcome but will be checked at admission.
