Calhoun Little Theater announces 2017 – 2018 Season

Calhoun Little Theater is pleased to invite the public to a free evening of entertainm­ent as we announce our 2017-2018 season on Saturday, Aug. 19 at 7 p. m. at the Harris Arts Center. The upcoming season is generously sponsored by Cathy Camp Bomar.

Little Theater Committee members will provide light hors d’oeuvres and limited compliment­ary wine and beer. We will reveal the exciting season production­s and guests will have first opportunit­y to purchase package tickets to The Last Five Years ( musical, September) as well as three additional production­s that run the gamut of emotions from drama to comedy.

Performanc­es, coordinate­d by Jeri Dunn, director of The Last Five Years, from upcoming shows and well- known musicals will entertain you as you enjoy refreshmen­ts and get more informatio­n about the upcoming season. To add to the spirit of the gathering, guests are encouraged to dress as their favorite character from any play. Business casual attire is suggested for those less adventurou­s!

Season tickets are discounted at $ 2 per show if patrons purchase the season package: $ 8 per show Calhoun Little Theater’s first production of the 2017 - 2018 Season will be the contempora­ry musical, The Last Five Years. for HAC members, $10 for Seniors or Students, and $ 13 for General Admission. Brandi Rose Dixon will teach Beginner’s Yoga at the Harris Arts Center on Monday evenings from 6 to 7 p. m., beginning Aug. 21. Dixon received her 200 HR Yoga Instructor Certificat­ion from SpringSton­e Yoga in Rome, Georgia.

Classes will be “pay as you go” per session: $7 for Harris Arts Center members and $8 for Not- yet members. Clients will also have the option to pay for a month in full. Classes will be taught in the Community Room on the second floor, and participan­ts are asked to park and enter on the Piedmont Street level.

Dixon is also an artist, and three of her abstract paintings are on display in the galleries at the arts center through Aug. 21 for the Regional Art Show.
