Sonoravill­e Homecoming festivitie­s set to begin Monday

Sonoravill­e High School will hold their annual Homecoming Week beginning this Monday, Sept. 18.

This year’s Homecoming theme is “A Phoenix is Forever,” a play on the slogan “Diamonds Are Forever.” Dress up theme days are as follows:

Monday, Sept. 18 - Blue Sapphire, anything associated with the color blue;

Tuesday, Sept. 19 - Purple Amethyst, anything associated with the color purple;

Wednesday, Sept. 20 - Green Emerald, anything associated with the color green;

Thursday, Sept. 21 - Red Ruby, anything associated with the color red; and

Friday, Sept. 22 - Silver Diamond, anything school- spirit related or silver in color.

This year’s Homecoming Parade will be held in downtown Fairmount on Thursday, Sept. 21 beginning at 7: 30 p. m.

Friday night’s Homecoming Game will be held in The Furnace, beginning at 7: 30 p. m. where the Phoenix will take on the Ringgold Tigers. Homecoming King nominees will be introduced before the game, and the Homecoming Queen will be crowned during the halftime ceremony.

On Saturday night, the Homecoming Dance will be held at 7 p. m. at the Sonoravill­e Recreation Department where the Homecoming King will be crowned.

This Homecoming includes:

Freshmen representa­tives Raven year’s Court Pasley and Phillips;

Sophomore representa­tives Mariah Key and Haley Robinson;

J u n i o r representa­tives Kayli Kelsee Charleston and Kelly Rule;

Senior King representa­tives Garrison Baumgardne­r, Trent Daniel, Russell Johnson, Tristan Key, Matthew Smith and Wil Walraven;

Senior Queen representa­tives Harleigh Chastain, Madeline Fox, Hannah Roberts, Rozlyn Rule, Brianna Towers and Kirsten Young.
