CALHOUN REC DEPARTMENT REGISTRATION FALL COED

— The Calhoun Recreation Department announces 2017 Fall Coed Softball Registration that will take place from Aug. 1-Aug. 31. The league will be for adult men and women and the registration fee is $360 per team. Registration will be available Monday and Thursday 8 a.m.-8 p.m. and Wednesday and Friday 8 a.m.-5 p.m. at the Calhoun Rec Department at 601 S. River Street. CALLING ALL CALHOUN HIGH HARRIERS

— Calhoun High School will honor and recognize cross country runners from 1968 to today on September 21 and 22, 2017. 2017 marks 50 years that cross country has existed as a sport at CHS. Plan now to attend the home meet on Sept. 21 at New Echota State Historic Site. A meet and greet will be held at 3 with the meet to follow at 5. Come one, come all to see former teammates and the program’s first coach, Lynn Walter.

UNITY RUN 5K

— The 24th annual Unity Run 5K and 1K Kid’s Run will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 26. The run starts at Gordon Central and ends in Downtown Calhoun. To register or find more info, visit www.gordoncountyunitedway.org.
