TOBI Says, Are you a good ambassador?

- Tobi Says

An ambassador is a representative for a country, a group, a city or people.

When you do a run for a cause, like Relay for Life for cancer, or Unity Run for the United Way, it is to raise money. But that is just part of the reason for the activity.

The spokesman for the group is there to present their cause to you. They want to share their vision and passion, and to challenge you to be a part of their group. They want to make a good impression for their cause.

When you go somewhere, as a ball team, FFA, 4H or band, you are an ambassador for your school. But you also represent you city, your family and all other activities from your area. You should make a good impression for all of them.

At a run, you are also an ambassador for running. You want to do well in the run. You also want others to attend more runs. You want to present running as a fun, healthy, and positive activity.

Competing is fun, but your attitude is also important. Your passion affects your teammates and the spectators.

An ambassador is similar to a missionary. They are both sent to share what they believe and to challenge others to become a part of their team. They want to make a good impression and share their passion for what they believe.

The good ambassador is one that is always presenting their cause and is always a good representative. How are you doing?
