verifying the stories in the Bible. Time and space restrictions prohibit a discussion of the many insinuations against the Bible and its teaching. It is practical here that I encourage each Christian believer to search the Bible; to learn the Bible and to believe the Bible. Remember the Apostle Peter said “…be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you for a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear.” ( I Pet. 3: 15)
In answer to the arguments about failure to find physical evidence concerning some of the stories in the Bible, it needs to be said that a true faith in God, Christ and the Bible needs no physical evidence. I do not need a piece of the ark to believe there was a great flood and the story the Bible tells about it. What we all need is a strong faith in the inspired accounts revealed in the Bible. The last sentence demands a definition: The Bible states “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” ( Hebrews 11: 1). We don’t have to see Jesus walking on this Earth to believe He is and believe all the Bible tells us about Him and His teaching. This certainly includes the resurrection from the grave.
Yes, it is true there are many unbelievers or disbelievers in the world today. The religious liberals are working hard to destroy the strong faith so prevalent in America in the early years of our nation. We need to wake up: It is far later than you think.
